IVF & the cost of bypassing our humanity
in this episode of the village sessions, we bring in multiple perspectives to paint a big picture of the relationship between the modern woman & IVF. how did we get here, & where does it end in the process of eugenics? as the birth control & fertility industries are a classic case of "create the problem, then sell the solution," we talk about the ethics & longterm costs of forcing pregnancy into a body that is saying "no." we break down the energetic states underneath "infertility," as well as share our perspectives of what we have witnessed in spaces of working with thousands of women through seasons of them trying to conceive a baby. michale also adds her real-life experience with working on babies born via IVF & frozen embryos, and what she notices in the quality of their bodies & glitches in their timelines. this is a holistic conversation about the power of choice & alignment, as well as move-towards strategies for families who are seeking fertility themselves or vitality for previously conceived IVF children. || if you are wondering where to find michale's pyramid of stability model— she teaches it in her mentorship containers, rooted families, & the soon-to-be vessel offering || take a seat with us or tune into the youtube version of the episode here! links mentioned // purchase your own ra optics lenses with code VILLAGE get connected & begin your experience // sign up for a bowspring class follow us on instagram join rooted families join our pregnancy + birth course the village birth apply for true north

why your kid can't breathe
in this episode of the village sessions, we dive into a conversation that challenges the mainstream narrative around childhood (and adult) airway symptoms. michale, kori, & molly explore the deeper layers behind airway health—why snoring, open-mouth breathing, & low tongue posture are signals, not root causes. we discuss the spaces in between—the moments outside of "doing all the things" that either reinforce or undermine real change. so often, a lack of resourcing & a self-inhibiting mindset prevent both mothers & practitioners from creating sustainable shifts. we explore the critical difference between doing to vs. doing with & the shared responsibility of practitioners & mothers to hold a frame that leads to lasting transformation. the key is awareness—of both the organism & its environment. this is an ecological picture, not simply a mechanical one. we question the mainstream approach of altering the "human meat suit" with interventions that only reinforce what is already inevitably collapsing (ie devices, appliances). instead, we explore the energy systems that build the airway, looking at how to support those first before relying on external "fixes." we challenge whether the real issue isn't your kid's airway—but potentially the ways mothers find themselves under-resourcing & over-outsourcing. these "leaks" show up in how mothers are crowd-sourcing their decisions & actions to practitioners or facebook polls instead of standing in their own knowing. take a seat with us for this conversation on the airway, responsibility, & reclaiming the power to choose ecological sustainability for you & your family. identify the pattern of where you have been taking action from what you "don't want" & start taking precise action for what you do want. take a seat with us or tune into the youtube version of the episode here! links mentioned // purchase your own ra optics lenses with code VILLAGE get connected & begin your experience // sign up for a bowspring class follow us on instagram join rooted families join our pregnancy + birth course the village birth apply for true north
