Black Theology & Mysticism - With Adam Clark
This week Dr. Adam Clark returns to the (Re)thinking Faith Podcast. The last time Adam was on the podcast he was part of a panel discussion on post-penal substitutionary atonement but this time he is here to talk about Black Theology and Mysticism. I really enjoyed this conversation as we explored Black Theology, Liberation Theology and their connection to the more contemplative aspects of faith. How can contemplative practice and mysticism inform our work for social justice and equality? We explore this question and much more in our conversation together. Tacos Obviously! - With Rob Bell
To start the new year I am joined once again by Rob Bell. Rob recently released a new book that is somehow nothing like anything he has ever done before, but at the same time, it feels familiar and very much like Rob. This conversation is fun, wide-ranging, and a bit difficult to capture. His new book is called "Where'd You Park Your Spaceship" and was a lot of fun to read. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. Toward A Genuine Religious Pluralism - With Matthew S. LoPresti
This week I was joined by Matthew S. LoPresti to discuss a genuine and deep religious pluralism. LoPresti recently released his new book "Religious Pluralism: Toward a Comparative Metaphysics of Religion" and we used it as a jumping-off point for our conversation.
Together we seek out a genuine religious pluralism that does not result in relativism or religious inclusivism. This was a fun conversation that offered the possibility of a genuine religious pluralism that has the power to transform our interfaith dialogue. Enjoy.
