Chicago Blackhawks, Connor Bedard beat New York Rangers 2-1
The Chicago Blackhawks played an EXCELLENT 2nd period against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden Monday night, and held on in the 3rd period for a solid 2-1 win. Just the second win for Arvid Söderblom this season. The Hawks got a 1st period goal from Tyler Bertuzzi (6) and a 2nd period goal from Taylor Hall (6.) Connor Bedard picked up his team-leading 16th assist of the season on Hall's goal at 6:16 in the 2nd. It's also the first win for a Swedish-born NHL head coach (Anders Sörensen) in NHL history.

Chicago Blackhawks drop 3rd straight game vs Toronto Maple Leafs
The Chicago Blackhawks failed to score until the 3rd period, and fell behind 2-0 after 40 minutes in Toronto Monday night. Auston Matthews opened the scoring for the Maple Leafs, his first goal since returning to the Leafs lineup. Connor Bedard scores again, Chicago Blackhawks fall to Columbus
The Chicago Blackhawks were not able to cool off the suddenly red hot Columbus Blue Jackets Sunday at the United Center, falling by a score of 6-3. Connor Bedard kicked off the scoring with his 2nd goal in the last 3 games, but the Blue Jackets scored twice in the 1st period to take the lead. Craig Smith evened things up in the 2nd before Sean Monahan put Columbus back in front for good less than 2 minutes later. Petr Mrázek made what could be considered the save of the season in this one, but it was not enough as he allowed 5 goals on 35 shots.
