Rabbi Blech's accomplishments extend beyond his numerous books and impressive academic career. He has been recognized for his influence and contributions to the Jewish community, both nationally and internationally. In a national survey conducted by Jewsweek.com, Rabbi Blech was ranked #16 in a listing of the 50 most influential Jews in America.   Rabbi Blech's impact on the community extends beyond his leadership roles. He has hosted a popular weekly radio program in New York and has written for publications such as Newsweek, The New York Times, and Newsday. Kerry Samuels life changed on a short trip to Israel. R' Yitzi, known for being the life of the party, and his family were shluchim in California, leading a relatively normal life until Yitzi was diagnosed with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) in 2013. Despite the debilitating nature of the disease, Yitzi continued to compose music and divrei torah with the help of a special computer program. His wife Dina has been an incredible support throughout his illness, and has also shared their story with others in the hope of inspiring and providing comfort to those facing similar struggles.   Yitzi's diagnosis was devastating, but he and Dina refused to let it defeat them. They have used their experiences to help others, and have been featured in various media outlets for their inspirational message of faith and resilience.
