In this episode the DEP team sits down with Patrick Finney, VP of Completions at Chesapeake Energy, to talk about a recent trip to the Marcellus to visit Halliburton’s electric frac fleet. We discuss some of the obvious benefits of the electric fleet and Patrick shares some of the key stats from Chesapeake’s first pad in PA. In addition to the Zeus Electric pump that deliver 5,000HP at over 22 bbls/minute, we discuss the other electric components on location as well as the power supply that can be used with this all-electric solution. Patrick also shares some interesting insights on what CHK is doing different on the completions side with wet sand completions, electric compression and CNG trucks to haul sand.
