Podcast Blast From the Past - 8 Mistakes That Derail a Job Search

Today I'm presenting a popular podcast blast from the past from Episode 180. In it I described 8 common mistakes clinicians make when trying to pivot to a new job. Let's revisit the answer to this question: What are the most common mistakes that will derail your job search? Tunnel vision and not keeping an open mind Being intimidated by a job description Preparing a CV rather than a resume Using the same cover letter and resume for different jobs or different industries Depending too much on online applications and not leveraging networks Not learning the jargon of the field we're pursuing Not taking the interview seriously Not preparing sufficiently BONUS Mistakes to AVOID: #1 – Failure to prepare a COMPLETE LinkedIn Profile. #2 – After the interview but before accepting the offer, not investigating the employer with other employees, customers, and physicians to determine if it will be a good fit for you.
