He advises private equity, asset managers, health care, life sciences, retail and technology clients on privacy and cybersecurity compliance, cybersecurity incidents and government investigations, including acting as lead counsel in defending clients in regulatory investigations by HHS-OCR, DOJ, FTC, FCC and State Attorneys General. Ryan also represents investors and lenders in both health care and privacy and security due diligence and negotiations for mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and complex commercial agreements. He has expertise counseling clients on emerging artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, health care fraud and abuse, third party reimbursement and FDA regulatory matters. He also has substantial experience in defending health care clients in False Claims Act qui tam matters and has obtained several declinations and dismissals.Prior to attending law school, Ryan earned a master’s degree in education and taught at an under-resourced Catholic middle school. Aviation Tech, Hacking and Crime Confessions with Boom Supersonic CISO Chris Roberts
