242: Entwistle Family Murders
On January 21st, 2006, Priscilla Materazzo called the local police. She couldn’t get in touch with her daughter, Rachel Entwistle or her son-in-law Neil. The couple had a 9-month-old baby named Lily, so Priscilla was growing increasingly concerned. She’d been to their house, with no answer. A family friend also stopped by the Entwistle home for a scheduled dinner, but there was no sign of the family anywhere. Police did a quick search of the house, but found nothing out of the ordinary. The next day, Priscilla filed an official missing persons report on her daughter and her family. Police returned to the house for a further search, when they noticed a smell coming from the master bedroom. Under the covers, they found the deceased bodies of 27-year-old Rachel and her baby, Lily. Neil was nowhere to be found. Had Rachel murdered her own child, then turned the gun on herself, in a deep state of postpartum depression or had Neil Entwistle fled the home after brutally murdering his family?

Murder Mixtape 188: Danielle Van Dam
On a Saturday morning in February of 2002, Brenda and Damon Van Dam cooked breakfast in their San Diego home for themselves and their three children. Both of their boys came downstairs to eat, but their daughter didn’t. When Brenda walked upstairs to her bedroom, she found her seven-year-old daughter’s bed empty. Danielle Van Dam was gone. Less than a month later, her decomposed remains were found on a rural road. Because of the advanced stage of decomposition, they were unable to determine what her cause of death was. Even though they didn’t have all of the answers, police had already arrested a man for Danielle’s murder before her body was even found. Despite DNA evidence linking Danielle to the man’s house and RV, many still speculated that the Van Dam parents’ “wild” lifestyle led to their daughter’s kidnapping and murder. Was Danielle the victim of a pre-planned abduction by a neighbor or did her mom and dad’s partying lead to her death?

From the moment his father texted Elaine to tell her that he was missing, Elaine and the rest of her family knew that her ex-husband was behind his disappearance. Murder Mixtape 186: The Murder of Terry King
On the morning of November 26th, 2001, a call went out to emergency services about a fire at the home of Terry King and his two sons, Derek and Alex. Once the blaze was extinguished and investigators began to search the home, they discovered the body of Terry King. His two sons, however, were missing. Police combed through the neighborhood and questioned neighbors, but Derek and Alex weren’t located until the following day, when they were brought to authorities by a neighbor. After speaking with the boys, it didn’t take long for everyone to realize that there was more to the story than what they initially thought.

240: Halloween Special- 3 Murder Cases in 1
Today’s episode will cover three different cases. First is the murder of Kendra and Alysha Suing at the hands of their stepfather, Lawrence Harris. He would claim that it was a protection spell he learned studying witchcraft that went awry, which caused the girl's death. Then we take a look at John Crutchley, the “Vampire Rapist.” Crutchley was convicted of kidnapping and rape, but he is suspected by authorities to be a serial killer with as many as 30 victims. Last, we will take a brief look at Richard Jordan Tarver, who knew he could survive a zombie apocalypse… but only if he knew what it felt like to kill someone.

Murder Mixtape 185: Terrance Williams and Felipe Santos
In January of 2004, 27-year-old Terrance Williams disappeared in the early morning hours. His mother soon found out that he was last seen getting into the back of a police cruiser in Naples, Florida. The deputy reported that he’d dropped Terrance off at a nearby gas station. It wasn’t long before Terrance’s mother found that her son wasn’t the last young man seen in the police car belonging to the same deputy: Steven Calkins. Three months prior, 23-year-old Felipe Santos disappeared after getting into Calkins’ service vehicle following a minor car accident. Calkins said that he’d also dropped Felipe off at a nearby gas station. There was no video footage and no witnesses to corroborate Calkins’ story. Neither man has been seen since. Was this just a coincidence and was Calkins just the unluckiest man in the world? Or, more likely, was Calkins responsible for the disappearances, and likely murders, of Terrance and Felipe?

Murder Mixtape 184: Heather Saul
***TRIGGER WARNING***
Gun Violence - Assault - Choking / Strangulation - Mentions of Drug Use and Death by Drug Overdose
In July of 2015, Neal Falls responded to an online ad that had been posted by Heather Saul. At the time, Heather was working as a sex worker and agreed to meet with Neal at her apartment, with a friend waiting on the front porch for security. It was immediately apparent that Falls was there to at the very least harm and more likely kill Heather. She fought back, and ultimately killed Falls. When the police investigated, they discovered that there was more to Neal Falls than just a man looking for a sex worker.

238: The Murder of Garrett Phillips (Part 2)
On a rainy October afternoon in the small town of Potsdam, New York, a young woman called 911 to tell them that she heard some odd noises coming from the apartment across from hers. The noises sounded like a child in danger. When an officer finally arrived, he heard footsteps inside and the sound of the door’s lock clicking when he knocked. When he finally gained access, the officer found 12-year-old Garrett Phillips pulseless. He began CPR and Garrett was transported quickly to the hospital, but he ultimately died. The only evidence left behind was a bent window screen and a few fingerprints. Investigators immediately focused their attention on the victim’s mother’s ex-boyfriend, Nick Hillary, and he became an outcast, despite no physical evidence of his involvement. Were police targeting him because of his race and pushing another prime suspect aside because he was, GET THIS, another police officer? Or was the investigator’s tunnel vision being exagerrated and Nick Hillary really was responsible for the savage murder of a little boy?
