140: Minecraft Plus Kindness Leading To YouTube Success With Tim Stiffler
In this week's episode, I chat with Tim Stiffler-Dean. We talk about his two gaming (Minecraft) related YouTube channels. We also talk about the difficulty in growing a gaming channel and how he feels creators are selling themselves short. About Tim: Tim Stiffler-Dean, a.k.a. stifflered (stiff-lurd), is a Minecraft YouTuber with a vision for greater things. He uses his struggles through his childhood and young adult life to now empower people and bring together communities in the way he'd always desired in his early years. A simple act of kindness in the form of a cup of coffee bought by a stranger while he was homeless changed his life 11 years ago, and since then he has pursued showing that same kindness to others, including giving a TEDx Talk on that life-changing event. Today, he uses his two Minecraft-focused YT channels, Café Stifflered and Haus of Stifflered, Minecraft server, and his Friends of the Server Podcast, all started this year, to teach young people and adults alike the skills they need to excel in life outside of the video game.
