#113: David Buxton - CEO of Arachnys

David started Arachnys because he thought it was obvious that banks should be using better data to make decisions about compliance and risk. He used his investigative background to find the best data sources and combined it with cutting-edge technology to invent new ways of harvesting and mining data. Eight years of working with banks have given him a lot of hard learnings, including why you shouldn't assume that the problem you think is easy is in fact already solved, the business model challenges that working with large organizations cause, and the leadership learnings that have come from having to scale an organization from a shared office in Cambridge to an international company supporting customers in every timezone.#InspiringLeadership #leadership #CEOs #MotivationalSpeaker #teamcoach #Boards Hosted on Acast. #112: Will Hogg - Managing Director of Kinetic Consulting

Will has always strived to keep “purpose” front and centre through 3 distinct careers. After working in an inner-city youth club and completing his degree, he was an Officer in the British Army, serving in places like Bosnia and Northern Ireland. His second career, in the Corporate world, was at Procter & Gamble where he was the HR Director of a Global Business Unit. His third professional experience is his current role, where he has built an organisation of roughly 50 consultants who have worked with more than 70 Global companies. In these 3 very different contexts, his single-minded, consistent focus has been to help others to find and unleash hidden potential: put differently, his purpose is to help individuals and teams to find their purpose so that they can leave their unique, positive footprint. Having participated in ultra-marathons and having been through life-threatening surgery, his simple conviction is that the higher and clearer your sense of purpose, the more resilient and effective you are.#InspiringLeadership #leadership #CEOs #MotivationalSpeaker #teamcoach #Boards Hosted on Acast. #105: Anna Baird - Head of culture & innovation customer success - Google

Anna Baird, Director of Cocoon Advisory Google, LinkedIn, CEB, Macquarie and PwC Never have people said 'that leader is too human for my liking' or 'that business was too helpful to me' Anna has always been rooted in customer experience work, whether it be the burgeoning era of CRM technology systems or true-data-driven-future product development...every part of her career has included three key elements: 1) aspiring to elevate a customer's journey, 2) leading with compassion (even when it really is hard to dig deep for that patience), and 3) trying to innovate at scale. If you are a manager or leader in the customer success (or now redefined as customer obsessed) space, empathy is at the core of every decision you take. Whether it be empathy for your team members as they launch, learn and iterate of the processes and approaches they use to solution big problems or whether it simply is just checking in and sending someone a message of support in a time like a global pandemic. Small efforts matter a lot, small acts of kindness in the community help fuel our economy. So think about the last great customer service experience you had or the last time someone really helped you in your everyday life. As leaders, let's find more ways to support our teams and our customers starting with championing openness. Open meetings with the roundtables of what's working and what's hard. Strive for open, honest and constructive customer satisfaction discussions. Use data to see the opportunities and qualify the sentiment with VOC. Use the most difficult words shared as your ground floor to improve from. #InspiringLeadership #leadership #CEOs #MotivationalSpeaker #teamcoach #Boards Hosted on Acast.
