Falling Upward: A Conversation With Noel Sanger

This Quoircast Podcast episode is brought to you by Apostates Anonymous - the show you turn to when you can no longer call yourself an Evangelical. In this episode we chat with Noel Sanger Noel Sanger may have flown mostly under the mainstream radar, but he has cultivated a rich musical history along the way. Releasing on some of dance music’s top labels, with a recent focus on his own Dissident Music imprint, Noel’s productions make regular appearances in Beatport’s top ten genre charts, and see support from the world’s top DJs. Over the years, his work has been heard on labels such as Black Hole, Spinnin’, Armada, Perfecto, High Contrast, Lost Language, Coldharbour, Mute, Dissident and dozens more. He has remixed and worked with artists like  Erasure, Nadia Ali, John Taylor of Duran Duran, Matt Darey, Soul In The Machine (with Twin Peaks star Chrysta Bell), and Markus Schulz. Evolving to deeper sounds, Noel’s label, Dissident Music, was first launched in 2007 and produced a number of hits throughout the ensuing 7 years. Recently relaunched as part of Miami’s Essential Media Group, Dissident has gone from strength to strength, with nearly a dozen Beatport top ten chart showings in as many months. As a DJ, this one-time Tiesto tour-mate has manned the booth at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals, sharing the stage with some of electronic music’s top names. It isn’t always the case that after this many years, an underground artist remains as creative and relevant as Noel has. But between his productions, his label, and his expertise behind the decks, Noel is proving without question that the best is yet to come.  You can connect with Noel on: Facebook     Instagram     Bandcamp You can find all things Noel Sanger related on his website You can listen to Noel Sanger's music on Spotify You can connect with This Is Not Church on: Facebook     Instagram      Twitter     TikTok     YouTube Also check out our Linktree for all things This Is Not Church related Please like and follow our Quoircast Partners: Heretic Happy Hour     Messy Spirituality     Apostates Anonymous  Ideas Digest     The New Evangelicals Each episode of This Is Not Church Podcast is expertly engineered by our producer The Podcast Doctor Eric Howell.
