Overcoming Self Criticism: Exercises To Inspire And Expand, Plus How To Have A Creative Girl Summer
OPEN NOW! Podcast Intensive & Conscious CEO Coaching Conscious Creatives Business School, available for $111 How do we overcome self-criticism or judgment when we’re in the creative process? In this episode, I’m taking you through several exercises to support you in staying inspired and expansive while striving for your big dreams. Exercises To Inspire And Expand REFLECT: EXPANSION & REFLECTION Start by drawing a circle; on the inside of the circle, write down or draw the expansive ("good") things that have happened for you for so far this year; on the outside of the circle, write or draw the contractive ("bad") things that happened so far this year. Then, simply notice your feelings around the good and the bad, the expansive and the contractive. Consider the story you’re telling yourself about each occurrence and consider that the way you respond and react to both the good and bad sets the tone for your future. TIME TRAVEL Think about where you want to be by the end of this year. Put yourself in the moment as if it’s the closing days of the year. Where are you? Who is there? How do you feel? What have you achieved? What has occurred in your life over this time? What have you created? How are you nurtured? NOURISHING YOUR INNER CHILD Reflect on your childhood. What was your favorite childhood game, toy, or hobby? What was your favorite childhood movie, book, or, hero? Reminisce and recall the joy when think about the magical experience those favorites gave you. CREATIVE GIRL SUMMER List five activities you enjoy doing. Make space in your life to do more of those things this summer. List five skills that you want to have. Commit to to learning something new this summer. List five things you would like to try once. Commit to trying one of those things this summer. List a few things you never thought you’d do, but you’ve done. Acknowledge your bravery for doing that thing. TAKE YOURSELF ON AN ARTIST DATE The Artist Date, from the book The Artist’s Way, is a solo expedition to explore something that interests you. The Artist Date need not be overtly “artistic” — think mischief more than mastery. Artist Dates fire up the imagination. They spark whimsy. They encourage play. 5 Ways Travel and Perspective Shifts Can Help You Become A Super Magnetic Manifester (and how to do this wherever you are)
Manifestation is the practice of bringing your desires and intentions into reality through focused thought, emotional alignment, and action. In today’s episode, my final solo episode from Bali, I’m sharing five ways travel helps to open up our magnetism and manifestation mindset. Visualization: Travel allows us to visualize our desires in a new and powerful way. When we travel, we're often surrounded by new sights, sounds, and experiences, and we tap into our imagination and dreams more vividly. Openness to Possibility: Travel is the best way to connect to new experiences. When we explore new places and cultures, we're often exposed to new ways of thinking, living, and being. This helps us expand our belief systems and become more open. Taking Inspired Action: When we're in new environments, we often feel a sense of freedom that can spark new ideas; travel can inspire us to take bold, inspired action that we wouldn’t necessarily consider in our home environments. Taking Risks: Traveling, particularly solo travel, often requires facing new and unfamiliar situations. This can feel scary, but as we navigate challenges and take calculated risks, we begin to develop a greater sense of confidence in our ability to handle uncertainty. Building Expansive Relationships: Stepping outside of our usual social circles and engaging with people from different backgrounds and cultures expands our perspective and helps us develop greater empathy. Traveling helps us gain perspective on our lives and the world around us. When we have transformative experiences by exploring new cultures, traditions, and ways of life, we can better understand ourselves and our place in the world. Our soul shines brighter, and we become a more magnetic version of ourselves when we remain curious. How to Use Divine Feminine Goddess Energy to Manifest More: Recorded on Retreat in Bali
Today's episode is our first episode recorded on the island of Bali! I'm feeling so tuned into the divine feminine energy here on the island, so we're talking about how to manifest using goddess energy. Goddess rituals will help you tap deeply into your divine feminine energy. Working with Venus, or other goddess archetypes, is a beautiful way to nurture your relationship with yourself, increase self-acceptance, and cultivate self-love. When we feel aligned with our joy and expression, we attract more. Learn more about how to embody the qualities of the goddess in this episode and visit the podcast blog for more. Worshiping the inner goddess is a powerful way to connect with the energy of love, beauty, and harmony. Invoking goddess energy can help you manifest your desires, improve relationships, and bring more love and beauty into your life. When working with goddess energy, first determine what you want to achieve. For example, you may want to attract more love or improve your existing relationships. Then, think about how you can show up with more compassion, empathy, and understanding for others and act with kindness and love. To further tap into the frequency of the goddess, practice rituals to evoke creativity. Slow Down and Grow Down: Soulbriety & Life Lessons from Hollywood Agent Turned Recovery Doctor, Elisa Hallerman
On her fifth anniversary of sobriety, Elisa Hallerman awoke with a hurting heart. Despite her sobriety, her lifestyle as a top Hollywood talent agent representing the Hollywood elite, made her unwell. In this episode, Elisa shares her path to Soulbriety: a soul journey from being addicted to drugs and alcohol, suffering from PTSD and chronic trauma, to changing her career entirely. This conversation includes a discussion of substance abuse, eating disorders, and grief. Elisa’s book - SOULBRIETY: Heal Your Trauma, Overcome Addiction, and Reconnect with Your Soul is one of my favorites of the year. It’s not just about getting sober; it’s about soul-centered wellness, life lessons, and the practice of slowing down and growing down in a way many of us have been yearning for. In this episode, we discuss: What trauma means, how to spot it, and what to do to begin to treat it How Dr. Hallerman found something missing on the fifth anniversary of her sobriety, retiring from the entertainment industry, and going back to school for a doctorate Feeling shame: for existing, for being a woman who dares to sit in rooms with men, and for having a brain and ambition The “work mask” and protective shield Dr. Hallerman wore as she navigated her Hollywood experience and how we can each begin to break through our maks and become our authentic selves The Vince Vaugh breakup and how that experience became one of the best things that ever happened to Dr. Hallerman Why disease is part of the family unit - and how disordered behavior and addiction is often bringing awareness to something that’s been bubbling under the surface of the family system Why having breakdowns within the family unit, setting boundaries, and eventually re-establishing relationships can be the best emotional path forward Depth Psychology, soul as a meaning-making machine + the 12 steps we go through “Growing down” into who we truly are The Soulbriety method, pausing in the darkness, applying a different way of knowing, and allowing our pain to be alchemized into purpose Soul vs. Spirituality: the difference and why it’s important to work with both Resources: Learn more about Dr. Hallerman’s work and get her new book SOULBRIETY: Heal Your Trauma, Overcome Addiction, and Reconnect with Your Soul Follow on IG at @drelisahallerman Join our brand new, inspiring community for creatives: CLUB CÁSCARA The club is for you if: You’re seeking business & creative resources from a community that gets it.
