Amanda Oleander is an artist, influencer, podcaster and entrepreneur who was recently honored as one of Pure Wow's 100 Women Emerging In Culture. Her and her work have been featured in in New York Magazine, Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Vanity Fair, and The Hollywood Reporter, to name a few and has even given a Ted Talk!
In 2014, she joined a live streaming app called Periscope, and became the most popular woman on the app. This visibility helped her achieve her goal of becoming her own boss and she now works creating her own art full time.
Amanda’s work bridges fine art, technology, performance art, and commercial work. Her most recent collection involves illustrations depicting life behind closed doors. Laura Escudé is a musical artist, entrepreneur, top tier music technologist and the world's most in demand live show designer. Through her company, Electronic Creatives - which she is the CEO of, she has worked with even more names including the Weekend, Harry Styles, Camila Cabello, and Ariana Grande.
Laura started as a violinist and an artist, shifted to producing electronic music, then to music technology and live shows, then entrepreneurship and now, after almost 20 years in the business, she has found a way to combine her diverse set of skills into one badass career.
We sat down to record this interview at her hotel room during the National Association of Music Merchants conference AKA NAMM, back in January2019 in between her performances. I wanted to have her on for a multitude of reasons, the biggest one being to show you (and me) That you can have many lives within your one life, and what’s more, if you work really hard, you can live all those lives simultaneously!
