What is a covenant? How are they employed throughout scripture? How does this one fit with those that came before? Why is it significant?Helpful Definitions:Re-edenization: God bringing His kingdom back to the world.Davidic Covenant: In the Davidic covenant the covenant keeping God promises to re-establish his Kingdom on earth in that God will dwell with his people, take dominion over his creation, all through his earthly King (2 Samuel 7).Dwelling: God’s presence with humanity in the world that He created. The story of the Bible is “God with us.” Dominion: God’s creation of the world and his command to humanity to extend his glory to all of creation.
