Talk Toomey with Joshua Toomey

Joshua and Chris return this week with the good, the bad and the ugly! The good is definitely Toomey's return the stage. The guys discuss Toomey's first show since 2009 and the reaction from the fans. The also good is the talk of Ozzy having a #1 album, Testament and the fear of losing their bass player to Megadeth and Butcher Babies to release new music. Metallica and their Helping Hands foundation is discussed. Joshua gives his review of the latest gem from Kevin Smith, Clerks 3. The bad is Toomey having to apologize to Motley Crue for not believing in the stadium tour. The ugly is absolutely Akin and Toomey's god-awful football teams. They end the show speaking on the terrible performances from the Titans and the Browns. 

Jeremy Spencer of Semi-Rotted and ex-Five Finger Death Punch is on the Talk Toomey podcast this week. Jeremy is on the program to discuss his latest ep, Deader Than Dead. Jeremy speaks on the reception of Semi-Rotted, Will Ramos guesting on the latest single and his love of horror movies. Jeremy and Joshua also talk a little KISS, writing lyrics and his history with his current band members. 

Toomey and Akin start the show with some football smack talk. The guys then give some heated debate on Art Cruz's comments on Randy Blythe in the latest interview with Talk Toomey. They then discuss Dino Cazares saying that he will announce the new Fear Factory singer in February and do we even care? The guys dive into Tommy Lee and fans upset that genitals are out all over the place at Motley Crue shows. Tommy Lee also has an onlyfans account! Joshua and Chris speak on Ozzy and the halftime nonsense and then review the latest from the Prince of Darkness himself. Chris recommends Jurassic Park and Joshua ends the show with more football tomfoolery. 

Art Cruz of Lamb Of God joins the Talk Toomey Podcast this week! Art is on the program to discuss the latest LOG album, Omens. Joshua and Art talk about Art being in the band for multiple albums now, his approach to writing drum parts for the band and still having pinch me moments on stage. Art speaks on the multiple fill in musicians that have helped Lamb of God complete recent tours and if he had any worries that the shows would turn into a trainwreck. Joshua and Art also discuss the greatness that is Randy Blythe and the legacy of Lamb of God. 

Toomey starts the show talking about his recent band rehearsal and trip to Nashville. The guys talk some Pat McAfee leaving WWE for a while to go to College Gameday. Joshua and Chris discuss the new Nickelback single, Jason Newsted net worth and new Skid Row singer gets the love. The Nirvana lawsuit is over and the guys put a cap on the story. Toomey and Akin discuss the latest Corey Taylor comments on the album title, The End, So Far. Taylor Hawkins tribute show highlights are discussed. Chris does not want you to listen to the new Soil, Toomey loves the new Megadeth and Charlie Kendall's Metal Shop Podcast is recommended. CJ Pierce and Jasen Moreno of Drowning Pool join the Talk Toomey podcast. The guys are on the show to discuss the upcoming album, Strike a Nerve.  CJ and Jasen talk about the single, Mind Right, and the idea of honoring Pantera with the song. They talk about growing up in Dallas and becoming friendly with Pantera and how they are now looking forward to seeing the upcoming Pantera celebration shows. CJ speaks on why it took six for a new Drowning Pool record and Jasen talks about the recording process. Toomey talks about the 20th anniversary of Dave Williams passing and all the tributes that were all over social media. CJ recalls the day he passed and how he found out the tragic news. Jasen talks about his favorite songs to play live and CJ lets us know how Drowning Pool got hooked up doing U.S.O. shows. 

Joshua and Chris are back with their latest tomfoolery. The guys start out the show with some talk about interview scheduling and mishaps. The topic moves to Amazon getting into the NFL streaming world and the pros and cons of online sports watching. In music news, the guys tackle Anthrax cancelling a tour due to "out of control costs" and the landscape of band touring struggles as a whole. Toomey and Akin always keep you up to date with everyone's thoughts on the upcoming Pantera shows. This week we talk Corey Taylor talking Pantera. Dave Mustaine talks James Lomenzo and Randy Blythe talks Phil Demmel. They discuss Machine Head and Robb Flynn's latest comments on touring and give their two cents. Joshua and Chris then give a quick review of House of the Dragon and some music recommendations. 

Levi Benton of Miss May I joins Joshua Toomey and the Talk Toomey podcast this week to discuss the new album, Curse of Existence.  Levi and Joshua talk about how there aren't any ballads on this, it's all straight bangers! Levin speaks on working with Will Putney and him getting out of the dumps to write a great Miss May I record. The guys start the conversation with some talk about a Mexican Restaurant/ Brothel that he bought and renovated with his wife. They finish of that chat with bringing family on the road, actually being tourists in cities and going Myspace viral. 

Toomey and Akin solo show! From here on out the interviews will be separate from the Joshua and Chris talks. In this episode, the guys talk about the latest Skid Row album and Snake Sabo's Pantera comments. Toomey and Akin also discuss Dave Mustaine's appearance on Joe Rogan, Toomey has a reunion show with his old band, Tommy Lee wants to see everyone's wiener and Japan wants more young people to drink. Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada returns to the Talk Toomey Podcast. Mike joins the show to discuss TDWP's upcoming album, Color Decay. Mike and Joshua discuss the band's writing process and where his vocal ideas originate. TDWP have had some amazing videos to go along with this release and we talk about the making of those videos. The guys also speak on the band renting an AirBNB and getting away to write and record the album. No episode with Mike is complete without some Hockey Talk!Toomey and Akin start the show with their thoughts on the latest comments from Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory on the Pantera reunion.
