We all know that "disease" is something that happens to us outside our control. The disease is an outsider that invades our bodies, and we are helpless to resist. EPI 51: DNA Testing Uncovered. How To Personalize Your Health & Supplements Based On Real Genetic Data From Your Own Saliva With Joe Cohen

When a great idea is born out of frustration, you best believe that it will result in an amazing company. One that is passionate about helping people get ahold of information to improve their health and life. If you are interested in learning about your health and body, this will be a fascinating discussion for you. Joe and I talked about how he founded his companies and how the data from DNA testing can help improve your life significantly.   Joe Cohen won the genetic lottery of bad genes. As a kid, he suffered from inflammation, brain fog, fatigue, digestive problems, anxiety, depression, and other poorly understood issues in conventional and alternative medicine. Frustrated by the lack of good information and tools, Joe decided to embark on a journey of self-experimentation and self-learning to improve his health—something that has since become known as “biohacking.”   Joe has studied health sciences for 17 years and has read over 30,000 PubMed articles. He's given consultations to over 1000 people who have sought his health advice. After completing the pre-med requirements at university, he founded SelfHacked because he wanted to make a big impact in improving global health. He also founded SelfDecode and LabTestAnalyzer, popular genetic and lab software tools to improve health.   Now, Joe regularly speaks at events alongside the world’s top health experts and continues to work on enhancing his company’s products to provide people with access to cutting-edge tools and information designed to optimize health.   Learn more about Joe and SelfDecode: Web: https://selfdecode.com/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/mrbiohacker/   In This Episode: [1:23] Who is Joe Cohen, and how SelfDecode started [4:58] Diving deeper into DNA testing [8:47] How genes play a role in our body [20:15] More examples of the genes’ role in the body [24:43] The gene related to inflammation—does it exist?
