EPI 81: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Questions Answered With Dr. Rand McClain. Testosterone (TRT) For Men & Women, Clomid vs. Enclomiphene, And Increasing Free Testosterone

HRT involves taking hormones to replace those that your body has stopped making or doesn't make enough of. For women, this is usually estrogen and progesterone. For men, it's testosterone. There are various ways to take these hormones – pills, dermal patches or gels, creams, or suppositories.   In this episode, we are joined by an Author and Regenerative and Sports Medicine Doctor, Dr. Rand McClain. He shares his expertise in regenerative medicine and answers burning questions about whether hormone replacement therapy, especially TRT, would be good for you or not. He also talks about the difference between Clomid and Enclomiphene and, finally, just what exactly rapamycin is.   Though nutrition and wellness have been ingrained in Dr. Rand McClain since childhood, his journey to becoming a leader in the alternative and progressive medical treatments has been anything but orthodox. From being the earliest promoted to senior account manager in Deloitte’s history at the time, to his stint as a professional boxer in Argentina, to being accepted to medical school at age 37 after being repeatedly told it was impossible, Dr. Rand has never been a fan of the “status quo.” Dr. Rand’s patients (many of which are A-List celebrities and world-class athletes) come to his practice, Regenerative, and Sports Medicine, in search of the innovative treatments he specializes in. From bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy, platelet-rich plasma, and stem cell therapies, Dr. Rand has dedicated the past 35 years to redefining what it means to be in optimal health.   Dr. McClain earned his medical degree at Western University and completed his internship at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine Residency Program (U.S.C. California Hospital) and has worked with some of the best and original innovators in Sports, Rejuvenative, Regenerative (“Anti-Aging”), Cosmetic and Family Medicine.   Learn more about Dr. McClain: Website: https://drrandmcclain.com/ FB: https://www.facebook.com/Dr-Rand-McClain-100417839001669 IG: https://www.instagram.com/dr.randmcclain   Pre-order his book: https://www.cheatingdeath.com/shop Show notes: [0:59] What’s Dr. McClain’s journey and background? EPI 80: TOP Health Tips From The Founder Of Peak Performance. Presentation Talor Zamir Gave To Elite Businessmen

It’s easy to get confused when it comes to health and nutrition. Even qualified experts often seem to hold opposing opinions, making it difficult to figure out what you should actually be doing to optimize your health. Sometimes it can feel like maintaining a healthy lifestyle is an overwhelming challenge that doesn’t fit within the realities of daily life. It’s tough to hold down a full-time job, eat well, train for a marathon, make homemade green juice, spend quality time with your loved ones, and meditate for an hour each day. Only healthy living can incorporate all of these things if you want it to, and it doesn’t have to be defined by grandiose displays of health and fitness. In this episode, I share some health tips that I personally follow and give to my clients and other people to optimize health. Show notes: [4:04] Health is about lowering the inflammation in the body [8:36] Visualize the best version of yourself [14:29] Sacrifice short-term gratification for long-term results [16:30] Run the tape through to the end [17:55] Make your health a priority [19:35] Start your day with quiet time [20:55] Exercise [27:43] Eliminating processed sugar, refined carbs, and fried food [32:34] Finishing your shower cold [34:06] Prioritizing your sleep [44:03] Food for thought [44:39] Outro   Links and Resources: Peak Performance Life Peak Performance on Facebook Peak Performance on Instagram

EPI 78: The Top Supplements For Recovery, Gut Health, Blood Sugar Support, Cholesterol, and Muscle Building

Over half of all Americans take one or more dietary supplements daily or occasionally. Supplements are available without a prescription and usually come in pill, powder, or liquid form. Common supplements include vitamins, minerals, and herbal products, also known as botanicals.   When you reach for that bottle of vitamin C or fish oil pills, you might wonder how well they’ll work and if they’re safe. The first thing to ask yourself is whether you need them in the first place. In this episode, we continue with part two of the top supplements I personally take that are good for muscle-building, cholesterol, blood sugar support, and more.   Show notes: [0:43] Muscle-building [6:54] For recovery [8:17] Blood sugar support [13:47] Cholesterol [18:49] Gut-health [23:41] Outro   Links and Resources: Peak Performance Life Peak Performance on Facebook Peak Performance on Instagram
