Feeling As Good As You Deserve with Corinne Crabtree
Today's guest is none other than top-ranked health podcaster, Master Weightloss and Life Coach, motivational speaker, and all-around badass, Corinne Crabtree. We have an incredible conversation around the 3 Pillars I believe are essential to a sustainable and successful business (playing the long game, caring for your clients, and being of high integrity - these are also stand-alone episodes if you want to learn more/go back and check them out).
Corinne is super-passionate about these three topics as well and lives them out loud in her life and business every day.
We get into how the pillars also apply to weight loss, the unhelpful lies that we all believe, why Corinne is so passionate about caring for her clients, and why it's her mission to "teach every woman how to lose weight for good and feel as amazing as she deserves."
This conversation was an absolute delight and incredibly powerful. I think you'll agree. Please, enjoy my conversation with Corinne Crabtree.

The Power of Language
Betty Barr was my 6th-grade teacher and a collegiate athlete prior to the passage of Title 9. In this episode, we talk about women's sports, what it looks like to be a trailblazer, and (my favorite) the power of language.
As Betty says, marginalized groups "have a knack for finding or becoming their own advocates." This is a powerful conversation on how far we've come, how far we have yet to go, and why the way we phrase things matters.
Betty's not much on putting people in boxes and using descriptive qualifiers. But, she does believe there's power in language and value in the conversations we have. So do I.
Please enjoy this conversation with my friend, Betty. And, be thinking about how the things she talks about relate to starting and being in business. The thread is there, I promise.

Pillar 3: High-Integrity Business
"Integrity leaves clues, so does a lack thereof. Your people will remember both."
This is the third and final episode on what I believe to be 3 essential pillars in business: playing the long game, client care, and being of high integrity.
Today is all about Pillar 3: High-Integrity Business.
To me, high-integrity business is about being values-led. Business decisions and goals are made with your values intact - and, in fact, leading the way. When people come into your space they will know what you're about because they can feel it. It also means you get to be grounded and clear in your work. You can make hard decisions from a place of ease because you know what's right for you. And, when people ask you what you're up to, you know how to answer - and, more importantly, you know why.
It's time to lead with the real you out in front.
What would happen if you took a calm, long-game perspective, added a high level of care to your offers and the people you are serving, and layered into everything all of your most important/top values? What's possible for you (and your clients) from that place?!
This is an invitation to call yourself in and figure it out.
This is also an invitation to do so with my help, in a small group of like-minded peers.
My next round of group mentoring/coaching/masterminding is OPEN NOW. It closes tomorrow and we have 2 spots left. If any of these pillars have resonated with you, we might be a great fit to work together! Check out all the details and APPLY HERE. (https://caryngillen.lpages.co/mmgc521/)

Pillar 2: Caring For Your Clients
This is the second episode on what I believe to be 3 essential pillars in business: playing the long game, client care, and being of high integrity.
Today is all about Pillar 2: Caring For Your Clients. "To care for" means seeing, thinking about, and showing up for people in a way that works for us AND them. People need specific containers in order to do change work. Our spaces are built with or without our intention and attention.
This episode is your invitation to be more intentional. Because, if I don't trust you - no matter how much I've paid you - I will not change in your space. And, neither one of us will get what we want for you.
Listen to this episode and, then, ask yourself: what creates the space for trust to exist for clients (and potential clients) in my work? Put some stakes in the ground here.
To those of you out there concerned about this, thank you for caring for your people. It's a BIG deal - damn near revolutionary!

Pillar 1: Playing the Long Game
For the next few episodes, I will be sharing what I believe to be 3 essential pillars in business: playing the long game, client care, and being of high integrity.
Today is all about Pillar 1: Playing the Long Game. Where will you be in 2038? Does the long game have a place in your business? And, either way, what does that mean for you, your business, and your clients/potential clients?
I want you to enjoy your experience of being in business. I truly believe it can be a healing modality - the thing you do that changes everything else.
Playing the long game means choosing a different kind of entrepreneurial responsibility. Feel the power you have and use it for the good you're here to do.
Listen to find out why the sooner you bring the long game into your business the better! As well as, how playing the long game supports the 5 different areas of business (Lead Generation, Nurture, Conversion, Delivery, and Retention/Re-Sell/Up-Sell).

The Shift That Is Coming
In this episode, I talk with Business Strategist, Neil Schimmel. We talk about institutional barriers, team dynamics, and showing up as your authentic self.
After this past year, there is no more community-wide lie that people in the workplace don't also have a real life at home (because we SAW it). In the midst of COVID we were forced to recognize that both exist, simultaneously.
And, because of that, we are not going back to a typical 9-5 corporate environment.
The status quo is simply not good enough anymore... It's not working (and hasn't been for quite some time). The companies and teams that will do the best moving forward are the ones that will allow people to do the work the way they want to do it, where they want to get it done, and even - in many cases - at the pace of their choosing (in conjunction with company goals).
The way we work has changed and will continue to change. "What a tremendous moment and opportunity this is."

Own Where You Are
Whatever you're gonna do, own it.
People always ask me what I wish I'd known in the beginning. Here it is. Are you ready for it?
When you start to take it seriously is when it gets serious.
You have a "real" business. The only person who gets to decide that is you. And, the time to decide is right now.
This short episode is a calling out, a calling forth. It's a bit of my backstory and the very best thing I've learned.
Where are the places you can (and need) to catch yourself? What limiting beliefs can you drop? Where does it get good? And, why can't you step into that now?

Finding Your Signature Program and Caring for Your Clients
Why do you do what you do? What's it for? What does it create - for both you and your clients?
Today's conversation, with Maya Gaddie, is all about bringing more of yourself to the work AND caring for your clients really, really well - topics we are both very passionate about!
In the last 10 years, Maya has helped over 300 clients create purposeful and profitable signature programs.
We talk about unpacking industry standards, why you should organize now and stick to a simple system that works, and finding the thing(s) that you do best... the ones that light you up inside.

Cultivating Resilience
Today's episode is a fun one! I talk to Jason Shen (a former NCAA gymnast, 3x venture-backed startup founder, and product leader at companies like Facebook, Etsy, and the Smithsonian) about cultivating resilience and playing by your own rules.
Jason says, "resilience is all about how we successfully adapt in the face of change. And, how you can make that change work for you and your situation." He reminds us to trust our instincts and creatively explore whatever comes next.
He also shares some daily practices to help build resilience. You've gotta hear him talk about those... so good!
Other topics covered include:
- How reflecting on the past helps you learn and grow faster
- Why it's important to be emotionally in-tune (and how we can hold more than one emotion at a time)
- The link between rest and resilience
- Normalizing the sales process, while appreciating the vulnerability and intimacy inherent there
- What true strength looks like (and why it's not always what you think)
As well as, so much more!
I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. And, that these insights from Jason help you build and strengthen your resilience.
