What Does the Color of Your Eyes Mean?
Different eye colors have different meanings and personality traits behind them. For example, brown eyes are extremely trustworthy while green eyes are passionate. The amount of melanin your eyes have can also have ties to future medical problems like cancer. The lighter your eyes are the more at risk you are of developing these medical problems, so it's imperative that you take the necessary precautions like wearing UV protective sunglasses. If you notice certain changes in your eyes, like reddening or yellowing of the whites of your eyes, it can signal certain health issues like allergies or jaundice.

Preventing Wet Macular Degeneration
What can you do to prevent Wet Macular Degeneration? Wet Macular Degeneration affects your center vision and your ability to read, recognize, and focus your vision. Imagine not being able to recognize your friends' or family's faces and misreading prices on items at the store. It occurs when abnormal blood vessels form in the part of the eye that allows you to see straight in front of you. These blood vessels can leak and bleed which causes you to lose your central vision and the ability to see contrasts. There are several things you can do to lower your risk of acquiring Wet Macular Degeneration. It usually starts with Dry Macular Degeneration and then progresses towards Wet Macular Degeneration, which can cause blindness. By stopping smoking and reducing your body's overall inflammation, you can significantly reduce your risk of having macular degeneration. Eating more Omega-3 fatty acids and following a fish rich Mediterannean Diet can also help reduce your risk.

Integrative Eye Care with Dr. Marc Grossman Part 3
Western Medicine focuses solely on treating health issues as they occur, which often means waiting for them to get worse before they can get better. Patients all have different experiences with their health, but they are usually all given the same medication regardless of their circumstances. Dr. Marc Grossman utilizes an Eastern Chinese Medicine approach where you look at the body, mind, and spirit to figure out the underlying issue and fix it at the root. Each individual has their own way of fixing and reversing their health problems, whether through medication or in conjunction with natural medicines, lifestyle changes, and supplements.

Integrative Eye Care with Dr. Marc Grossman Part 2
Why wait until it's too late to prevent or even treat eye diseases like glaucoma or cataracts? Many doctors wait until these eye-related problems require surgery to fix. In this podcast, Dr. Grossman shares stories of real clients and methods of preventing and even treating eye diseases. According to Chinese medicine, what happens in your life can affect different parts of your body. For one patient dealing with divorce and the loss of her father, that lead to her developing a cataract in only her right eye. In Chinese medicine, the right eye is the "male" eye and is related to male figures in one's life. Dr. Grossman advised her to use Cineraria eye drops and work on the problems she was facing in her life. She came back a year later and her cataract was gone. Integrative Eye Care with Dr. Marc Grossman Part 1
As Shakespeare said, "The eyes are the windows to the soul." Eye care should involve addressing the body, mind, and spirit. Traditional Chinese medicine refers to the eyes as the "pilot light." Our inner vision, how we view and interpret the world, affects our outer vision, how we see. Mind/body medicine depends on all of the individual factors effectively working together. Eyesight is affected by multiple factors: genetics, the food we eat, our environments, emotional and psychological health, and our belief systems. Healthy eyesight depends on our total well-being.

Homeopathic Treatments for Cataracts
Cataracts are one of the most common conditions in people over the age of 70. Cineraria Homeopathic eye drops help to clear the crystalline lens. Cineraria Maritima is the most recommended homeopathic remedy for cataracts because of its ability to clear and dissolve obstructing fibrils in the lens. Cataracts are a condition that develops as the body ages and has a harder time providing oxygen, nutrition, detoxification, and antioxidants to the cells of the lens. Doctors recommend natural treatments that support the body's ability to maintain and clear the crystalline lens. These homeopathic eye drops encourage the body to send oxygen through the blood vessels of the eye and into the aqueous, which nourish and detoxify the living tissue. Cineraria Maritima has been used in homeopathy for over 100 years to safely and effectively treat cataracts.
