110: Conspiracy Theory as Gnostic Mysticism

Talk Back to MeWhen we hear the words "Conspiracy Theory" we instinctually recognize that the language is loaded with implication. Because it's a theory, it can't be true, and because it's a conspiracy, there must be a bad guy to the story. However, the danger of a Conspiracy Theory is not purely in the political hay to be harvested, but rather becoming consumed in a monomania that leads either to impotence, or damnation. Society aside, a Conspiracy Theory is both a metaphysics problem, and one for epistemology to handle.  Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

109: Death to Pornography

Talk Back to MeWith all that sweet, sweet awareness that The Sound of Freedom drummed up, and for good reason, we're going to address the elephant in the room. Pornography, for the average American Man, is one of the central causes for demoralization. We recognize that there is evil in the world when we consider Human Trafficking, but we turn a different eye to the porn in our households. Even the coming of age stories from many of our childhoods includes a scene where one of the main character's "friends" hides a smut mag. So when it comes to porn and the demoralization it produces, the solution is to act, with impunity if necessary. Kill it, remove it from your life, as if your life depended on it. As it just might someday. Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

108 Part 2: Will Spencer of the Renaissance of Men on Protecting in a Time of Fragility

Talk Back to MeIf the role of a man is to protect and provide for his family, what does that look like in an era where even self-defense is contorted by the racist claims of immoral practitioners of law? What does a woman's touch have to do with a man's business? In Part 1, Will and I covered how the last few years have revealed the economic fragility of the Western world and he presented a solution: durable trades. In part 2, we introduce the fragility respective to the other of a man's duty: protection. Will Spencer is the founder of the Renaissance of Men, a podcast a more dedicated to a plan of reconciliation between Men and Women. His work and website can be found at renofmen.comFor his social media, start at renofmen.com/linksSupport the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

108 Part 1: Will Spencer of Renaissance of Men - Reconciliation of the Sexes

Talk Back to MeReconciliation is a term often used in theological conversations, as well as in attempts to resolve conflicts within families. What Feminists, the Manosphere, and Will Spencer have in common, is that the relationship between men and women is not going well in the 21st century. So in this conversation, we go back in time to look at early examples of this conflict taking root, and move forward from there to investigate what reconciliation would look like. As we move on, we particularly pay attention to the role men play in a healthy society, and beyond, how we might get there. 107: An Old Evil and the Demoralization that Follows

Talk Back to MeThe culture war has shifted its attention to an old evil: Slavery. While we start by navigating some of the responses, the conversation quickly turns to what we think about terms like RELIGION and MORALITY. The accusation that The Sound of Freedom is a religious thriller tells more about the accuser than the film when we look at what that implies. But when a population raises its awareness to a horrible evil, it does not necessarily translate into an equivalent response, instead creating a whiplash effect from moral outrage to moral outrage, ultimately resulting in a state of demoralization. Those aware leave with only the tension between their awareness of evil, and a feeling of incapability. But we have a response to the global decentralized network that is Human Trafficking, and in this case, it is to pay attention to what you are responsible over. Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

106: Night Vision and Resentment

Talk Back to MeWhat does Night Vision have to do with Resentment. For those ingrained in both the Culture War and the Firearms Community, it may not come as a surprise, as both entered the lexicon and the equipment room of many of us as the same time. As individuals like Jordan Peterson or Jack Donovan wrote and spoke about resentment, many of those participating in Gun Culture were just "getting into" Night Vision. And here we are with the question: should you train with Night Vision? Or, does anybody really need to train with it. After putting aside the generally presented bad arguments, we dig a little deeper into the question. Which unveils that much of this type of conversation is rooted, not in imperatives or objectives, but resentment. The counter-offensive in a sense to elitism, Resentment rots from the bottom up. Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

105: Some People Have It

Talk Back to MeThroughout history we have a long list of examples of both individuals and empires that divided all of humanity between those above and those below. Where it's the oppressors and the oppressed, the free and the serfs, the government and the people, or a complex caste system, these social structures are most often deemed immoral, incorrect, or manipulative. Yet, when it comes to people, while we may come to believe that all people are created equal, such an idea, absent a Metaphysic with a Creator, doesn't appear obvious: we are not all born in the same economic status, geographical location, or timeline. We have different proclivities, preferences, and traditions. Whether or not there are more differences or similarities between all peoples across time may come down to semantics. So, when we say that some people have it, and some people don't, what are we saying?Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

104: Declaration or Manifesto?

Talk Back to MeWhat's the difference between the Declaration of Independence and the Manifesto of a Mass Murderer? As we celebrate the 4th of July, we have the opportunity to reflect on our values, and state what we believe to be right and true and good. Our country was founded on more than just Scruples. And every generation must learn that if we do not consider those values, and voluntarily chose to uphold them, they will crumble under our watch. Do you have a line in the sand? One that if crossed, demands a response? Are you afraid that your Declaration of Independence will be considered the manifesto of a madman?Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

103: Multiculturalism: Fruit Without a Vine

Talk Back to MeThe Philosopher's Stone, Mysticism, Alchemy. When we try to turn Lead into Gold, we do so blind to the consequences. When we try to achieve peace through the abolition of meaning, the outcome is not a peace worth living. Multiculturalism, as it is presented in our contemporary world, offers a deal of this type: it tempts with a freedom from conventions, without disclosing the cost: meaning. Have you not heard it cried from the rooftops: "Can't we just get along." Somehow the voice of one that poses to be begging for acceptance turns out to be the one bearing the sword enforcing uniformity. It's not that we don't want peace. We simply don't want it at the cost of our soul. Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc

102: Generalizations and Semantics

Talk Back to MeLike stolen valor, Gun Culture takes misplaced generalizations seriously, even personally, when people representing our ideals in the public forum end up painting the community in a bad light. The reaction often creates drama, thus running the cycle of separating into tribes, which clash until some other threat comes by to re-unite the people. This inclination is present in Gun Culture because it is present in mankind in general. Generalizations are useful when they are accurate, and those engaged in the conversation are aware of the use. In a conversation between Chris Williamson and Andy Stumpf, the latter had that opportunity to speak on behalf of Gun Culture. Support the REDACTED Culture Cast at redactedculture.locals.comSSP and boutique products at redactedllc.comFollow us on Instagram at @redactedllc
