011: Building My Relationship with the Quran | Part 2: Tactics & Strategies
Building My Relationship with the Qur'an, Part 2: Tactics & Strategies
In an authentic hadith, Rasulullah ﷺ narrated to his companions:
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِنَّ لِلَّهِ أَهْلِينَ مِنَ النَّاسِ " . قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ " هُمْ أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ "
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah has His own people among mankind.” They (the companions) said: "O Messenger of Allah, who are they?" He said: "The people of the Qur'an, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him."

006: The Ihsan Attitude | Excellence in All Matters
"Worship Allah as if you can see Him. And if you cannot, know that He sees you"
This is the description of Ihsan by our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ when asked by angel Jibreel.
"Ihsan" can be translated as "excellence" in English. For Muslims, Ihsan isn't just applicable to acts worship, but in every aspect of our lives - our jobs, our studies, our relationships, as Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Verily, Allah has enjoined excellence (Ihsan) in EVERYTHING." (Muslim)
In this discussion, we cover:

4. HOW can we train ourselves to develop Ihsan?
إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ
"Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Excellent in their deeds" (An-Nahl 16:128)
"And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope;
Surely, Allah's Mercy is ever near to those who act with ihsaan" (Al-Araf 7:56)
May Allah make us amongst the Muhsinin - the people who consistently act with ihsan - in all that we do!

004: Finding My Why and Discovering My Purpose
Your WHY serves as a compass; it shapes your intention, links your values to purpose, lifts you up from the lowest pits, drives you beyond your comfort zone and aspire you to greater heights.
A positive and comprehensive WHY will not just benefit individuals but will also be a catalyst that propels communities and nations by leaps and bounds.
This is how our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, within a short span of 23 years, inspired a few unlettered people in the desert to eventually established themselves as a sprawling empire, taking the world by storm, continuing to leave a mark for humanity.
Islam is the perfect religion that captures the ultimate essence of WHY: by providing a true sense of purpose that transcends human limits, providing an inexhaustible source of motivation in the form of infinite rewards proportional to our efforts, taking advantage of your own unique strengths and talents, and providing a comprehensive refuge from all types of harm: in this world and the next.
