Canyons 100K Recap: Training, Race Strategies, and Lessons
I took on the Canyons 100K in hopes of getting a Golden Ticket. But, once again, I came up way short as I battled with a ton of adversity. The kind of adversity that I didn’t expect, nor have I ever dealt with in a race before! But, in the end, I was able to get it done (even though I considered quitting), and I learned so much along the way.
In this episode, I break down all of those lessons and reflections throughout my training, my race day, and afterwards in hopes that it will help you avoid the same mistakes I made. That way, you can crush your next race (whether or not it is the Canyons 100K race!)
Huge thank you to YOU to listening in and for your support:

Elle Spacek: Cocodona 250 Preview Episode for 2023
Elle Spacek is an ultrarunner based out of Colorado who has had tons of impressive results in the ultra scene in her career. And on top of that, she is a mother to a newborn son of 14 months old. Throughout raising her son, she still stayed diligent with her training and running, while not sacrificing time spent being a great mother. And that takes a ton of commitment, discipline, and drive to do so.
And her reason? She wants to return to Cocodona 250 this year to finish the course and do her very best. In 2021, she dropped from the race at around mile 220. And ever since then, she’s been eyeing her return to this race to complete what she started.
This episode is truly inspiring and amazing, as Elle is such an incredible person. In this episode, she chats about how she’s approaches training while being a mother to a newborn and balancing a full-time job, why finishing a race and completing a course are two different things, and how she coordinates the logistics and strategy going into a big race like Cocodona.
