Ash and Kane talk about why podcasting can be as cheap or as expensive as you like and share what is worth spending money on and what isn’t. It is 100% possible to podcast on a budget, and Ash and Kane explain exactly how you can do it! KEY TAKEAWAYS You can podcast from home if you have the right set-up. You can even use existing tech such as your laptop and phone. Most shows are remote, it’s not necessary to interview guests in person and virtual guests keeps your costs down. If you are looking at interviewing a big name or someone that could elevate your podcast, it is worth spending the money to do it in person to make a personal connection. Editing and artwork are the key things you need to get right and potentially spend your budget on before looking at anything else. Think about how you spend your own time as well as your budget, you can outsource functional but essential tasks like editing whilst you focus on more high value tasks, such as guesting on other shows.
