Most of the time, we are enthralled with getting everything done in the fastest way possible. But usually, that means something falls through the cracks, and we don't realize it until it's too late. Get some traction with the art of habit stacking. Too often, we find ourselves racing against the clock, trying to accomplish as much as possible in the shortest amount of time. They can either be our greatest allies or our biggest obstacles. The key is to harness the power of habits and stack them strategically to create a foundation for success. Here are three practical ways to implement habit stacking into your daily life: 1. Anchor Your New Habit to an Old Habit (that is working for you) Morning Routine: Start your day with intention by creating a morning routine that sets the tone for the rest of the day. Begin with a simple habit that works now and anchor a new one. After you go to the bathroom, you wash your hands, brush your teeth, and now you add in a stretch. Once you establish that new habit, then stack it with another new habit. By linking habits together, you'll establish a momentum that carries you through the day with focus and purpose. 2. Do It Every Day Consistency is key when it comes to sustainable change. You need to consistently do the routine you establish. And when you do this, your daily life becomes more manageable and less overwhelming. 3. Celebrate the Progress Remember, small wins are big accomplishments. Those are your daily trophies. 3270 It Won't Be Like This For Long

Life has a funny way of throwing us curveballs when we least expect it. We find ourselves at a crossroads, standing at the intersection of uncertainty and hope. But it won't be like this for long. 3269 Get A Grip On Grace

How much are you running around trying to catch yourself from falling, attempting to escape mistakes, relationships, and even success? And in all that, who do you see in the mirror? Get a grip on grace. We are only a few days into the new year and already I hear people complaining about what they can't do, where they can't go, and who they can't find. Yet, they're not looking to make any changes, at least that's what their actions show, and they keep getting on the same amusement ride looking searching for the magic key. Unfortunately, many who continue to live this life find themselves exhausted, frustrated, depressed, and anxious all because of what they don't have. However, today, I want to invite you to the table. I want you to sit with me for a moment and not let distractions get in the way. This is your divine appointment to hear exactly what God wants you to hear. But you have to slow down to speed up. When you look in the mirror, who do you see? And I want you to be honest, brutely honest! Do you see a person who is trying to live a life for everyone else with little to give back to herself? Do you see a person who has tired eyes and a heavy heart that pants for rest, but can't find any time? Do you see a person who wants more than where they're at, but has absolutely no idea where to stop in order to start again? God did not create you in His image to destroy the hope He gave you through His Son, Jesus Christ. God did not create you to run ragged, only to put yourself in a corner that you can't escape. God did not create you to look in the mirror and see yourself. God created you so you could see His reflection! The K.I.S.S. ~ Get a grip on grace! My friend, God wants you to see Him in you. But the crazy thing is that... you're too busy, you're too in debt, you're too distracted, you're too consumed by the world. You're too. God desires for you to know Him and to glorify Him. That is your divine purpose. But unfortunately, we see our lives through the lens of the world; and that's where the missteps happen. You judge yourself critically, not giving yourself the grace that God extends to you every day. You run yourself ragged, hoping to get noticed when God sees you. You fight battles alone, because you haven't invited God into your army. Get a grip on grace. I was singing the song "Amazing Grace" in the shower this morning thinking about my dear friend who is walking his last steps of greatness here on earth. Thankfully, the water soothed my tears as they fell from my eyes. Some things just have no words. All you can do is hold them close in your heart, and deeper in your soul. But one thing my dear friend, Dan Miller, taught me, is to "Be still, and know that I am God." ~ Psalm 46:10. And it wasn't with his words or his teachings, it was simply him living. Living a life that showed him how to get a grip on grace. Where are you, my friend? As you sit at the table, what are you struggling with? Give it to God. Don't try to hold it close and think you can do everything by yourself. Go deeper with God and get a grip on grace, the only grace that can give you freedom. And that doesn't mean you will have all the answers in a snap or by tomorrow morning. It means that when you look at yourself in the mirror, you see a little more of God and a little less of you. 3268 Build Stronger Bridges

In every marriage, there are times we feel like we've done everything to improve the relationship. Yet, we yearn for a deeper connection, a more harmonious love for one another. Build stronger bridges. But as you know, this doesn't come easy. It's a combination of intentional actions that eventually builds the bridge of greater love. There are many people who believe that once you hit a certain point, there's no other option. Keep what you have (which doesn't seem like much), or drop the gauntlet and get a divorce. And in truth, that's the reality of a lot of people. Maybe it's yours right now. Maybe you have been hanging on by a thread, hoping for something more, but getting nothing. How can you truly transform your marriage and build stronger bridges? It takes one step at a time to build the bridge. The K.I.S.S. ~ One step at a time! Many times, we want to hurry the process out of desperation. We want to make what isn't good go away, and keep only the good and multiply it. However, those actions have fallen flat, because remember, you've tried everything. So let's go a little deeper in order to build that bridge one step at a time. 1. See What Your Spouse Sees Not only do we need to open our hearts, but we need to open our eyes. You've gotta see what your spouse sees; otherwise, what you do is simply through your own eyes– which can be misleading. It's not that you don't see what is happening, but it is one-sided. Marriage is a two-way street. So be willing to go two-way, not just driving on the one-way that seems to be easier for you. One of the main ways you can do that is through communication. Communication is the foundation of any successful marriage. Yet, it is often the first thing to deteriorate when couples face challenges. So to build stronger bridges, it's crucial to embrace effective communication. And that being seeing what your spouse sees. What is your spouse's body language when you greet them after they return home from work? A conference? A night out with their friends? What do your spouse's eyes say when you bring up various topics for discussion? Do you get eye rolls? Do you get a person who leans in more? What is it? When you talk, do you all speak only through texts, or maybe you're on your digital device to keep you occupied? Create a safe space for open dialogue, free from judgment or criticism, which means you have to be open to what your spouse sees. Remember that effective communication is a two-way street. 2. Spend Time Together In the hustle and bustle of life-- you've got the busyness. But do you have the heart? Let that sink in. Sometimes we are so focused on the honey to-do list that we forget what really matters. Yes, you have to pay attention to all the responsibilities like kids, bills, supper, and laundry, but you can't forget the partner you said you wanted to do it all with. So don't let time slip through the cracks. Schedule those regular date nights or carve out dedicated moments each day for undivided attention. Go to bed to spend time together, whatever you want to do. But these are precious moments and time you'll never get back. Put away the distractions and focus solely on your spouse. Engage in activities to reconnect and nurture your shared interests. Quality time allows you to experience joy, laughter, and intimacy, reigniting the flame of love and strengthening your bond. 3. Show Gratitude and Appreciation There is nothing more powerful than stepping out of your ego and letting someone else know that you appreciate them, and that what they do matters! Gratitude is a powerful tool in building stronger bridges in your marriage. Expressing appreciation for your spouse and acknowledging their efforts can have a profound impact on your relationship. And maybe you do it periodically. But what if you did it every day from a genuine position of love? Make it a habit to show genuine gratitude for the little things they do, whether it's a thoughtful gesture or simply being there for you. Till the soil in your home by planting appreciation seeds. Remember, a simple "thank you" can go a long way in strengthening the bridge that connects you both. "Marriage is not just about finding the right person, but becoming the right person." ~ Kristianne Wargo Ask yourself this question: Is what I'm seeking in my marriage something that I'm giving to my spouse? 3267 Creating Heartfelt Connections With Your Child

Parents often find themselves caught up in the busyness of daily life, juggling work, dinner, laundry, plus the kitchen sink. But the most important thing is creating heartfelt connections with your child. It's essential that we as parents understand and remember that in order for us to have a complete impact, we must forge an unbreakable foundation. So even when they do stray, they still know that you're always for them. Today, my heart breaks for Perry, Iowa, and what the families are facing there. Perry is a smaller town in Iowa, and I'm sure no one thought this could happen in their town. But even as the new year is upon us, old stuff still shows up. And as parents, we have to ready our families within our own four walls and teach them to the best of our abilities. No one ever thinks that something like this will happen. And it's not because we are arrogant or untouchable, we just go about our every day not thinking that way. But if you want to have an impact on your children, you have got to connect to their hearts. It truly is about creating heartfelt connections with your child. The K.I.S.S. ~ Create heartfelt connections! Now, I will say this. There is no blame here in regard to what happened in Perry, Iowa. In fact, we all should be praying for those who have been affected and make changes within our own families to better ourselves. It's not about perfection, but merely doing better with each decision and encounter we have with our children. As much as we are connected digitally, our hearts are disconnected emotionally. If you want to create heartfelt connections with your children, what does it look like? 1. Engage in Meaningful Conversations Talk to you kiddos!!! Meaningful conversations lay the foundation for building strong connections with your child. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in superficial discussions or simply exchange pleasantries. Hey, how are you? And then you let it go. Do you really know your child? Take the time to engage in deep conversations, which helps to build that trust. Engage your child in open-ended conversations about their day, dreams, fears, or opinions. Encourage them to express themselves freely while actively listening without judgment. As parents, we are so quick to judge. And very rarely do we apologize for mistakes. Show genuine interest in your child, in what they're doing and what they're challenged with. It comes down to paying attention! 2. Share Experiences and Hobbies Get off your digital space, and share experiences with one another. Some of the most profound connections are forged through shared experiences and hobbies. By being fully present and engaged in these moments, you emotionally connect with your child on a deeper level, reinforcing their sense of love, belonging, and significance. And when you embrace discipline, you can push through the resistance and stay on track, even when the going gets tough. Discipline is the act of showing up, day after day, regardless of how you feel. It's about putting in the work, even when the passion momentarily fades. So, embrace the discomfort, dig a little deeper, and confront these roadblocks head-on. Step 2: Make Small, Sustainable Changes Don't bite off more than you can chew. Now that you have your goals in place, it's time to implement small, sustainable changes in your everyday. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will your healthy lifestyle. Start by making simple adjustments, such as incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or setting aside dedicated time for physical activity. These small changes, when practiced consistently, can have a significant impact on your overall well-being. Step 3: Cultivate a Supportive Network In this, don't share with people who will criticize or judge. Instead, surround yourself with a supportive network so you can achieve long-term success. Share your health goals with family and friends, or even join a community of like-minded individuals if they are going to support you. Having people who believe in you and cheer you on during your journey can provide the motivation and accountability you need to stay on track. Yet consider seeking professional guidance from a nutritionist, personal trainer, coach, or therapist who can offer expert advice tailored to your specific needs. Remember, you don't have to do it alone! Embracing a healthy lifestyle and writing your comeback story is not an overnight process. It's a moment-by-moment, decision-by-decision every day. It requires perseverance, resilience, and a commitment to make sustainable changes. 3263 Create Your Now

It's time to take charge of your life and make things happen. Sitting back and waiting for something to just happen will be the one thing that will hold you back. Choose your direction and create your now. Now I can already hear the pushback that you should not make something happen; you need to wait on the Lord. You still have to take A.I.M. one step at a time. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!" ~ Kristianne Wargo Think about this. If you are sitting at a stoplight, it doesn't matter what color the light turns. If you don't have gas in the car or it charged up, you can't go forward. If your brakes are loose, you will have problems stopping and yielding. If your oil is depleted, your engine will not run smoothly, eventually giving out, and then you won't be able to go where you were headed. Oh - and if your speedometer isn't working, you won't see any lights, except the flashing blue ones behind you because your speed is too fast or too slow. Make the decision to start taking action today and create your now! The K.I.S.S. ~ Create Your Now! So think about your goals and dreams. What are they? I know you've been thinking about them recently, some for weeks, others for decades. But if you don't name them, what are they to you? A few words strung together to sound good if someone asked you. Something that keeps you thinking a little longer on what you should be when you grow up. One of my good friends and mentor, Dan Miller, says, "Have you ever noticed that even if God allows you to have a dream, you're expected to work to make it happen?" Dreams are thoughts put together with little words that resemble your heart (Passion). Goals are stepping stones to getting there (Purpose). Actions connect the dreams and goals to create your now (Presence). Here are three specific things you can do: 1. Elevate Your Clarity: You get to define your dreams and your goals. Define the direction you want your life to take by knowing your dreams and setting clear, specific goals. Break them down into smaller milestones so that they are more achievable. For example, if your goal is to start a business, set smaller goals such as creating a business plan, registering your business, and securing your first client. 2. Build Consistent Action: Consistency is the key so long as it incorporates taking A.I.M.; action ignites motivation. If you choose to sit on your butt all the time, that's not action. So take a small step each day toward your goals. If you want to write a book, commit to writing a certain number of words or pages every day. If you want to get fit, establish a routine and stick to it. Consistency builds momentum and brings you closer to your dreams. 3. Embrace the Possibilities, Seen or Unseen: You are going to have opportunities that set you apart or drown you in the mission. You get to choose how you respond. As Dan Miller says, "What does this make possible?" Adopt that growth mindset and believe in your ability to learn and improve. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and don't let setbacks discourage you. See failures as learning experiences and adjust your approach accordingly. Allowing yourself to see possibilities and not roadblocks, not only will open your mind, but it will open your heart. Remember, you have the power to Create Your Now. Take charge of your life, set clear goals, take consistent action, and embrace what is seen and unseen. And then watch as you transform every moment and every day into something extraordinary as you create your now.
