115: How TIPPING Can Make You Rich
What are your tipping habits? Do you give more depending on the level of service you get? What if I told you that your tipping habits actually have more to do with your abundance and wealth than you think? I learned my tipping habits years ago from my parents who were very generous tippers – no matter what the level of service was. And this stuck with me up until this point and I know it's only helped boost my success (and in general, my happiness). "The way you tip someone is not a reflection of the job they've done, it's a reflection of how you feel about money." Let's not forget about all the happiness/time-saving after effects of tipping well. At restaurants, because I'm known for my generosity, I'm seated faster, get better service and tend to get a lot of extras that other people don't get. When I valet park (at least once a week), my car is always parked close and I'm able to get my parked even when the lot is full. When I'm generous, I'm saving both money and time, which leaves me happier and with better energy. So let's try to shift your view of money (if it's needed). If the service was bad, don't use the lack of a tip as punishment. Instead, use it as an opportunity to show the particular person a different view of money. If they were having a really crappy day, wouldn't an awesome tip help turn it around? YES! And what's more, you're sending a message to the universe that you have an abundance of money. Let's take that one step further… when you tip well you're actually boosting the economy. You pay more, but then the other person has more to spend, too. No matter which way you look at it, you create a ripple effect when you tip well. What kind of example could you set by showing others how abundant you are with everyone? Who can you inspire? I would love to hear all about your generous tipping habits! 113: MOMENTUM HACK! How To Get It and Keep It!
Today we're talking about momentum – how to get it, keep it and get more of it. "Momentum is the hardest thing to gain, the easiest thing to lose and the most valuable thing to have." This above statement says it all… So much so that I could safely leave it at that, but of course I'm going to elaborate a bit. Momentum is something that everyone seeks in business. It's that magical feeling when everything is going your way, the money and customers keep appearing – it's explosive. And it honestly should be the goal for everyone when it comes to everything they're doing – life and business. But it can be elusive and hard to hang on to. See, momentum can be the savior or killer of your business or success. So many people never hit that momentum because they either give up right before it hits or they let it die after hitting it. It's all about finding the delicate balance between finesse, effort, time investment and a little bit of miracle worked in. "Momentum must be carefully cultivated in order to get it and then persistently preserved once you have it." So to help you create and keep that momentum I've come up with a few hacks to guide you: To gain momentum, you must be consistent. Consistency is more valuable than effort. Think about it, a little every day will always beat a giant push and then nothing. "Momentum rewards the consistent." Have a plan. "You must do the right work at the right time in the right direction." You can't aimlessly wander your way into momentum. Don't be afraid to ask for help and get a "map" to help guide you. Once you get it, hold onto it. "Do the same amount of work it took to get it that it does to keep it." Whatever it takes, steer your momentum in the right direction. If that means hiring more people or delegating – do it! There is no substitute for the effects and rewards of momentum – it rocks. It makes all your efforts worth it and so much more rewarding. But you must keep it rolling! And of course when that momentum is in high gear you're success takes off with it. In This Episode We Talk about: Why momentum is the most valuable thing to have Why momentum is the killer and saver of all businesses and success Three hacks to help you get momentum and keep it Resources: Interested in coaching with Chris? 112: How FAITH Can Help You SUCCEED with Joel Brown
Back when my podcast first launched, I interviewed entrepreneur and fellow podcaster, Joel Brown, but the sound quality was so bad that it never aired. That's why today I'm even more excited that we were able to connect one more time to have, in my opinion, an even better conversation. From a very young age, Joel possessed an empowering mindset. Practicing his entrepreneurial skills at the young age of 7, he has long followed the principle of making money work for you – and not the other way around. Now for the last seven years, Joel has been running his motivational website, Addicted2Success (and more recently his podcast), where he encourages others to find their 10-year vision and the values that align with it. In this episode, we deep dive into what a 10-year vision entails, how to find and create one and how faith has amplified Joel's business and life. You don't want to miss this inspiring and insightful talk. -- Question Highlights: What's one of your superpowers? What is one regret you have? What's one of your favorite books? Who is someone who has changed your life? Can you tell us where you were before you became an influencer? What is the "formula" behind success? Where did your core value of contribution come from? Why is the Bible your favorite book now and what has shifted inside of you? How does this return to faith affect what you teach today in business compared to what you taught a couple years ago? What can we learn from Jesus and the way He ran his "business" that applies to how we run businesses today? Can you be spiritual and still desire wealth? How can you help others find their vision? In This Episode We Talk about: How Joel got his start as an entrepreneur Making money work for you How Joel created Addicted2Success.com Joel's formula for success The importance of contribution The relentless pursuit of truth Why Joel stepped back into his faith The four areas to Joel's structure to test any world view (origin, meaning, morality and destiny) Spirituality and wealth Steps to figuring out your 10-year vision and tips to check in on it Why vision and values go hand in hand And so much more… Joel's Thoughts… "I never felt like there were ceilings, the sky was the limit." "Inspiration is way more powerful than motivation." "Just because it's a personal preference doesn't mean it's true." "He didn't come to be popular, He came to speak truth." "Your vision disciplines you. It chooses your friends for you. It teaches you what to say yes to and what to say no to. It gives you direction in your life." "I'm not big on the law of attraction; I'm big on the law of intention." "You have to be committed to mastery if you want to achieve a high level of success." -- Joel Brown is the founder of the #1 motivation website, Addicted2Success.com and has achieved over 143 million views worldwide over the last 7 years. He was offered multiple million dollar offers for his website and turned them all down to continue to grow his company. Joel has a social media following of over 2.6 million across all social media channels and he travels the world teaching 1000's of people how to stand in their vision for success so they can turn their dreams into a reality. Joel is featured in the new hit movie "Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Joel is also the host of the Addicted2Success podcast that has achieved more than 2.4 million downloads featuring thought leaders such as Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Les Brown, Jack Canfield, Gabby Bernstein, Gary Vaynerchuk, Simon Sinek, Grant Cardone and many more. Joel is considered a double-edged sword as he is skilled in the area of Self Development Coaching, NLP, Speaking and Mindset Coaching. Joel has built Multiple Six Figure online businesses and is skilled in Building Massive Online Communities, Monetizing Online Brands and Networking with the World Class Elite which positions him in a unique place of high demand when it comes to coaching others on what it takes to be in the Top 1% online and offline. -- Resources: IG: http://instagram.com/iamjoelbrown FB: http://facebook.com/addicted2successdotcom http://iamjoelbrown.com http://soundcloud.com/addicted2success http://addicted2success.com -- For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

111: The Difference Between You and I...it might not be what you think
I'm sure the title of this episode threw you off today because I am definitely not going to stand up here on a pedestal and tell you about all the things I've done, bought or experienced that make us different. Nope. Not even close… are you ready? "The difference between you and I is what makes you so valuable." It's true! Here's the thing, what I don't have I need to buy from someone. What I don't know, I need to learn from someone… you get the idea. The difference between you and I is your value and it's what you can, in turn, market or monetize. We were all meant to have an impact on the world – whether you realize it or not. But so many people have a unique set of skills and they could leverage those skills to those who need it. It may feel like selling, but trust me, it's really a gift. People pray every night for solutions to their problems. What if you have the answers, knowledge or skills they were looking for? Powerful, right? So, if you're not sure what skill you could possibly leverage, I want you to make a list of what comes naturally to you and brainstorm how you can use it. And please share what you come up with! I love hearing your thoughts. You just may surprise yourself at the gift you've been keeping from the world. The #1 Reason Businesses Don't Get Started (and What To Do!)
I cannot believe these days how many business ideas I hear on a daily basis. And I'm talking epic, game-changing ideas that could make millions of dollars. But here's the thing, the people with the ideas aren't bringing them to fruition. So today, we're going to dive in and talk about the No. 1 reason why these businesses don't get started. And the No. 1 reason is…lack of follow-through. Yes, such a simple concept, especially when we have access to countless resources to make it happen. It's not a saturated market (really for anything), there is a wealth of resources and mentors are everywhere. And let's not forget – there is no shortage of great ideas. But there are multiple reasons why the follow-through isn't happening. "Virtual homeruns are stuck on someone's shelf in their heads behind fears." Fear of failure, rejection, success, hard work etc. are all BS reasons that are given. It's not that we're too busy, it's that we're choosing the wrong things to focus on. Don't get me wrong, I'm calling myself out on all this too. We've all done it at one time or another. We all have good intentions, but we must choose to take action. "Business doesn't reward good intentions, business rewards good actions – and lots of them." So how can you get your idea out there? Below are five steps that will get you started: Seek a mentor. There are so many out there if you look. But if you can't, books count, too! List out your exact five next steps in order to gain momentum on your idea. Be specific, but only tackle one at a time. Tell everyone about it – social media, word of mouth, skywriting – everyone! Line up the money for it. It's usually less than you think you'll need. Set deadlines. This is crucial to following through. Besides, you can't hit something without aiming, right? The beauty of these five steps is that anyone can do them – they just require action. What's your next step to getting that epic idea out into the world? I can't wait to see! In This Episode We Talk about: Why so many people haven't started their businesses Why lack of follow-through is killing your multi-million-dollar business Five steps that will help you get your ideas out there Resources: FREE TRAINING WITH CHRIS AND LORI The ALL NEW ALIGNED Course! 107: Does Your Partner Determine Your Success
Today's episode was spurred by a question I received via Instagram. And while I could have just answered on there, I figured it deserved a longer, more quality and REAL response. The question was: "How do you think someone's relationship could affect their success and how do you find a partner like this?" Fair warning, my answers may lead to a huge wave of self-reflection. Firstly, in my opinion, a person's romantic relationship massively affects success. How can we expect it not to when our partners share our finances, time and energy – among other things. And let's not forget that these people are also the people we want to celebrate our successes with. "If your partner is aligned with your goals, you're going to have a higher chance of succeeding." They can have different goals and drivers, but they understand your ambition and likely have their own as well. On the flip side: "The wrong partner can ruin your success." Now don't get me wrong. Just because you're with the "wrong" partner doesn't mean they're not a good person – it just means that they're not in alignment with your goals and ambitions. "People can be good people but the wrong partner at the same time." Just to give you an idea, the right partner provides: You with ideas and supports yours The right style of accountability Objectivity in a way that you can receive it (and not take offense) Let me stress here that I am only answering the question. You definitely don't NEED a romantic partner to be successful. It could be a friend, business partner – or perhaps it's just you. When it comes to the second portion of the question about how you find a partner, I don't think you can find one, but let me explain. When Lori and I met, we weren't amazing partners…at least not right from the start. We were a couple of party kids from Wisconsin who liked to go out. But here's the thing, we both were dreamers and had big goals for our future lives. And we both had equal levels of ambition and drive in each of our fields. "We were always willing to try the other's ideas on for size." We didn't start out with perfect communication. There were fights and tears, but today we are committed to getting better as partners. We still have disagreements, but know how to objectively get through them. I hope that after listening to this episode that you're able to also discover what is needed to help you (and perhaps your partner) elevate your life and dreams to the next level. In This Episode We Talk about: Whether or not someone's relationship affects their success Qualities of the "right" partner Why you DON'T need a romantic partner (or any partner) to find success Resources: FREE TRAINING WITH CHRIS AND LORI: Loriharder.com/freetraining For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.
