446. If I Had to Start All Over

In This Episode You Will Learn About: What I would do if I had to start over Coaching on a small scale Scaling up as you grow Launching a course and building a lead Resources: 2021blueprint.com Show Notes: One of the most common questions I get is this: If I didn't have the audience I have now, if I didn't have the money I have now, if I was just a regular person starting from scratch… What would I do? How would I start over? I'm going to share with you my plan to make one million dollars in just 24 months. It's a simple plan, but executing on it isn't always easy. Year One: The first thing I would do is figure out one skill that I have and find ten clients right off of social media and referrals, and I would coach those ten people for $2500 over 90 intense days. That would be $25,000 in just 90 days. I would invest half of that money and live off of the other half for the next 90 days. Then I'd do it again. Result: $50,000 in six months. Now that I'd have proven results for myself, I'd repeat the same process again for $3500 over the next six months. Simply coaching people on Zoom on one skill I have mastered would have earned $120,000 in one year, with me saving half and living off the other half. Year Two: After a year of a proven track record I would continue the same trend, charging $5500 to each client in Q1, $6500 in Q2, $7500 in Q3, and $8500 in Q4. Adding that up, with ten clients every 90 days, comes to $280,000 revenue just from coaching. I would continue to save half and live off of half. But I would add one more thing in year two: In Q3, I would record a video course on the same topic. With my $200,000 in savings, I would spend $100,000 of that on Facebook ads to promote this course. This can easily add up to 50,000 new leads. The course would launch in Q4 of year two, and converting just 4% of those leads at $300 per course would lead to a $600,000 launch. Don't get caught up in the numbers. If you don't feel comfortable charging that much, cut the numbers in half or even quarters. That is still a lot of money to make in just two years from nothing. And if you're still unsure, then it may be time to start upgrading your money mindset to overcome your limiting beliefs. 445. 3 Things to Make You Better in Leadership AND Relationships

In This Episode You Will Learn About: The commonalities between leadership and relationships Giving feedback in the moment Being honest, open, and building trust What gets recognized gets repeated Resources: Visit outstandingfoods.com/lori or use code LORI for 25% off your first order! Show Notes: There are some common threads between being a good leader and being a good romantic partner. Nobody is going to be great at either when they're just starting out — just think back to your first relationship and I'm sure you'll agree — but with some intentional practice, we can become better leaders and better partners at the same time. Give feedback in the moment Nothing is worse than letting a grievance sit and then coming back to it after the other person has moved on. Some people get over things much more quickly than others. If you try to bring something up later, the other person may get confused, defensive, or angry. And small things left unaddressed continue to build up until they become a huge roadblock in your relationship. That can all be avoided by bringing it up in the moment. Being honest, open, and building trust Building off of that last point, giving feedback in the moment is what is going to make people learn to trust you. Being honest also empowers other people around you to open up and be their best, and that is the sign of a good relationship in business AND life. What gets recognized gets repeated When you see the kind of behavior you want, you have to work to recognize it in a way that acknowledges the other person. This will help that behavior stick and give further clarity to the types of behaviors you want. This also opens the trust door for feedback and makes it easier to breach the conversation around what can be improved. If you take in these three tips, you're going to make it a lot of the way towards being great in both leadership AND relationships. 444. A Lesson in Scarcity

In This Episode You Will Learn About: The updated lesson from my $4500 Christmas lights story Being penny wise but dollar dumb The dangers of a scarcity mindset Providing value for what you charge Resources: Text ELITE to 310-412-0416 or go to fortheloveofmoney.com/mastermind to see if you're a good fit for my elite mastermind group Show Notes: A few months ago, I told a story about spending $4,500 to get Christmas lights put up on our house. This story had two points: One, never apologize for what makes you happy, and two, know the value of your time. Those lights brought me enough joy that it was well worth the cost, and for me to spend the time putting them up could have cost 10x the hourly amount I paid. When it came time to take those lights down, which was included in the cost, I decided it would look nice to leave some up on our palm trees. When the company then invoiced me for the cost to leave the lights up — which would have saved their team time — I was floored! This company that I was so happy with up to this point was being penny wise and dollar dumb… and because of that, they lost my return business. The first lesson I have for you out of this experience is just that: Don't be penny wise and dollar dumb. Don't nickel and dime your customers in order to squeeze as much money out of them as possible at the expense of their repeat business. The second lesson is not to live with a scarcity mindset. Scarcity leads you to collect pennies now rather than dollars later. It tells you to milk every customer for all they're worth now, instead of happily serving them year after year. Scarcity always costs more than you think it is saving you. Be financially responsible. Go for the upsell. But make sure you have a good reason for it, and provide real value for it. 443. We've Rebranded! And Here are the Secrets Why!

In This Episode You Will Learn About: Why we've rebranded Why you need to niche down when first starting your business When it's time to rebrand The shift that's happening in our economy Resources: chrisharder.me Show Notes: Welcome to The Chris Harder Show! New name, same great mission as ever. I aim to give you every single tool, trick, and skillset you need to grow your business, your money mindset, and your wealth. Most importantly, I want you to become wildly unapologetic about your pursuit of success — because when good people make good money, they do great things. So while our mission is the same, I'm adding to the toolbox even further… in order to get you to where you're going faster. Why We're Rebranding Times change, and you and your brand need to be able to keep up with that change to give people the value that they need. When I started For The Love Of Money, I wanted to focus solely on financial empowerment — a topic I still deeply care about today — but I knew that this was only going to expand over time. At the beginning of building an audience for your brand, your goal is to make your niche as specific and succinct as possible, so people clearly know what you're about and who you are for. But once you've gained a level of notoriety, and you begin to be recognized for more than just your central topic, you can start to branch out and help people even further. If I'm going to accomplish my mission of bringing you to the next level financially, then I need to be able to teach you about more than just money mindset or a few tricks with your money. I need to be able to teach you to earn that money in a big, big way. Now, as The Chris Harder Show, I can attract even more guests. I can get more people to share the show. I can have more of the conversations that I want to have. And this all adds up to one thing: More value for you. Follow me on social media @ChrisWHarder on Instagram and check out chrisharder.me
