For years, Dr. Jade Teta, co-founder of The Metabolic Effect, was considered a jock and class clown – and at the time he accepted that. However, upon his senior year in high school and after a couple pivotal conversations, he realized that he was meant to do more and knew that he needed to become and do something more that made a difference and made him happy. Fast forward to today and Jade did just that and is massively successful. We covered so much ground in our conversation and we literally could have gone on for hours more. Enjoy! -- Question Highlights: At what age did you make the choice to be and do something different? Why did your story of missing something make you go get it, whereas so many others would let it stop them in their tracks? How do we get someone to attack their fears? Having just sold a business, how did your recent re-implementation of visualization and meditation come into play? What effect has books had on your business and financial success? Do you see a difference in the ways men and women view money, wealth, and success or does it come down to the individual regardless of gender? Do you feel it's beneficial to be a hybrid of different feminine and masculine qualities? What role has generosity played in your business and life? In This Episode You Will Learn: How our stories impact what we do in life About the importance of attacking your fears and putting yourself in uncomfortable situations Why you must consciously choose your purpose How to successfully implement visualization and meditation (and why it's so essential) Why it's vital to read books that challenge your beliefs About the differences between men and women in business and success Why we must invest in ourselves And so much more… Dr. Teta's Thoughts… "Purpose is something you consciously create." "Always attack your fears." "Tell the story and own it." "It's the strength of your belief that makes a difference." "Be confident in the direction you're going, but be detached in the way you get there." "You want to be delusional enough to believe that you are powerful and that you can do anything in life, but insecure enough to be humble and confidently detached." "One of the best gifts I can give is to receive what someone gives me." "If you're not here to help, then why the hell are you here?" "Your ability to make money basically is your ability to touch people." -- Dr. Jade Teta is an integrative physician specializing in natural health, fitness and body transformation. 45: There Will Always be PAIN, CHOOSE the one the PAYS

My Two Cents – Ep. 45 – There Will Always Be Pain. Choose the One That Pays. My Two Cents today is all about pain and choosing the better type of pain in all areas of your life. Isn't "better pain" an oxymoron? Well, it can be, but let me explain. There are two different types of pain in life – the kind that keeps us stuck or the kind that propels us forward. This episode is all about choosing the latter. "There's always going to be some type of pain, so choose the one that pays better." Take working out for example. Sure, working out can cause pain. You're literally tearing your muscle fibers so your muscle grows. All that sweat and soreness is the pain. Lori and I work out regularly, so we're choosing the type of pain that helps us grow. If we didn't work out, we would trade that pain for the opposite – disease, weight gain, low energy etc. Either way equals pain, but one offers a reward. The same goes for your financial wealth and abundance. Many are unknowingly choosing to struggle financially by playing the victim for their circumstances (It's not fair…etc.). Similarly, many can choose the pain of self-judgment, knowing they are capable of so much more but not doing it. It's time to start getting uncomfortable. "You're always going to have aches and pains, so let them be pains that give you a life of joy to offset them." You're never choosing to be pain-free, but you can choose the pain of struggle or the pain of growth. It's so important to choose the right kind of pain, but many of us are choosing wrong. Why? "It's easier to choose the type of pain we're already familiar with then it is to choose the type of pain that's unknown." So I say, choose the unknown. Take that leap. Step into your power and consciously choose the RIGHT set of pains. If you do, the payoff will be well worth it. In This Episode You Will Learn: How consciously choosing the right sets of pains can propel you forward How to step out of your comfort zone Why some people are choosing to struggle financially without even knowing it How to step into your power Resources: For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

44: How Wealth Allows This POWERHOUSE WOMAN to be a "Volunteer CEO" with Candy Nelson

Candy Nelson – Episode 44 – How Wealth Allows This Powerhouse Woman to Be a "Volunteer CEO" At the age of 15 years old, Candy Nelson had already gotten the entrepreneur bug. And it was all spurred by a 3 a.m. infomercial for some tapes (which she purchased) by Tony Robbins. Upon listening to the tapes, the longing in her soul was answered and she vowed to set goals and complete them. As the child of teenage parents, Candy's excitement wasn't readily reciprocated, but she persisted nonetheless. With the help of her father and a small business loan, by the age of 19, she started her first business. And while it took a few years to see the rewards of it, it is now a raging success. So much so that she was able to hand over the operations and focus on the creation and operation of the nonprofit organization Animal Friends Sanctuary. Through this organization, Candy is able to donate her time as the CEO and focus on causes that are near and dear to her heart – animal and at-risk kids. Her story (there is so much more to it) is so inspiring as it shows such a shining example of how wealth can do amazing things and make a massive impact on this world. -- Question Highlights: What was it intrinsically inside of you that made you so different as a 15-year-old that you got an idea and followed through on it? How did Tony Robbin's tapes turn you into a budding business woman? How scary was it to start a first-of-its-kind business in your area? Did your first business take off right away? What is one of your biggest growing pains and how did you navigate through it? When did you decide to walk away from the operations side of your first business? How did the 15-year-old you view money and how do you view it now? In This Episode You Will Learn: Overcoming obstacles to create a successful business at age 19 How to "work wealthy" Why it's so important to just start – even if you're unsure About redirecting your course when things don't go as planned How Candy was able to start and become the CEO of a nonprofit organization – and not get paid to do it And so much more… Christine's Thoughts… "We are not the product of our circumstances." "It was a vision – it was something I could see, feel and walk into and that was it. And I reverse-engineered from there." "When you do what's right, things seem to work out." "Some people are so fearful looking 10 years ahead that they never start." "You've got to start and redirect as you go." "You never know if you can accomplish or contribute unless you start." "Does this decision take me closer to or further away from my mission and life's purpose?" "Money is going to just amplify who you already are." "The pursuit of money isn't evil if you have good intentions." "Sometimes we have to go through the struggle to realized what our gifts are." -- At just 19, Candy started her first business just out of high school. A serial entrepreneur for nearly two decades, she has built a successful service-based business, developed a nationwide product-based company and invested in real estate investing since the age of 25. She started a non-profit organization at the age of 26. Candy has donated over 25,000 hours to that charity as a Volunteer CEO and has raised over three million dollars in the last 10 years. She is actively engaged in saving thousands of animals' lives and bringing hope and healing to abused children. She is passionate about encouraging others to stand up and speak out against abuse and cruelty and is committed to inspiring others to live a kinder, most compassionate life. 43: UPLEVEL Your Financial Results - Instant HACK

So you've probably heard that you're the average of the five people you spend the most time with, but I also believe that you're also the average of the environment you hang out around most as well. That being said, I'm here to offer you some hacks to help you change that environment to change your outcome. While a lot of these will be no-brainers, I think you'll also find them challenging, but stick with me. "At first a lot of these things will feel quite uncomfortable – that's normal. But the goal is to do them often enough so they feel comfortable so that they can become your new environment." Here are a few hacks: Travel. If you don't travel, START! If you do travel, travel BETTER. Get a better hotel room. See what it feels like to walk into a better hotel. How are you greeted? How comfortable is the bed? Up-level your hotel experience. Same goes for flying… First Class! "That extra few hundred dollars could change your level of expectations forever." Clothes. If you can't afford them just try them on. Even if you don't purchase, you are up-leveling how you look and feel. "It's not wasted money if it's an investment in yourself that totally changes your level of expectation from here on out." Restaurants. Not in a place where you can spend money on that expensive of a meal? Get a drink at the bar. "Change your environment – change your results." It's simple. If you never experience something different, you'll never pursue it. That's why it is so crucial to make that S T R E T C H that truly changes your environment. It's the change that truly counts. Of course we all start at different levels, so acknowledge the level you're at and go from there, whether it's an extra $20, $200 or $2,000. Regardless of the dollar amount, any time you bust through that uncomfortable barrier, you experience growth. So, I encourage you… Go splurge a little. Not to hurt yourself financially, but to forever change what you expect of yourself. If you commit to that you will be amazed at the up-leveling effect it will have on all areas of your life. In This Episode You Will Learn: Why you are the product of the environment you hang out in How intentionally changing your environment can change your outcome How to get comfortable with the uncomfortable How to up-level your expectations of yourself Resources: For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

42: How Expectation Hangovers are Costing You Wealth with Christine Hassler

Christine Hassler – Episode 42 – How Expectation Hangovers Are Costing You Wealth Today's guest, Christine Hassler, is one of the wisest people I've had on my show to date and I know you're going to learn a lot from her stories and experiences, too. As a child, Christine always felt as though she didn't belong. Growing up with some health problems, she was always seen as different and wasn't well liked. As difficult as this was to cope with, Christine compensated for it all by focusing on being smart (an overachiever if you will) so she could be super successful. While this tactic worked for a long time, it still never eliminated the feeling that she had something to prove. So after graduating college (double major and a minor in 3.5 years), she went where a lot of people go to do just that – Hollywood. Christine didn't want to be an actor, but she did end up being an agent. Christine's life, from the outside, was amazing – a six-figure career, a successful boyfriend, parties with celebrities etc. – but inside she was miserable and suffering from anxiety and depression. Then with the encouragement of a friend, she met a therapist who loved her unconditionally and for the first time in her life, looked at her with zero judgment. It changed her world. After seeing this therapist for some time, Christine left her successful career to pursue other passions. While at the time this seemed like an easy thing to do, it was anything but, and after multiple setbacks (boyfriend dumped her, diagnosed with an auto immune disorder, massive debt etc.), she still didn't know what to do with her life. Throughout this time of struggle, Christine had to seek what it was she truly wanted and she discovered that it was to serve and share her experiences with others. So, she decided to write a book about her own challenges and experiences and getting through them. And that's when her first book, Expectation Hangover was born. Christine has since published several other books and now coaches individuals and hosts multiple courses. This is the perfect episode for those who are feeling lost and looking for answers or trying to cope with disappointment and unexpected life events. I know I personally had a few mind-blowing a-ha moments throughout our talk and would love to hear if you had any moments of clarity, too. -- Question Highlights: Where does the desire for a successful life come from? How do you make the shift from drive to inspired? What's holding people back from earning what they want to earn in business? How can spiritual entrepreneurs bust through "starving artist syndrome?" How has your abundance/wealth journey evolved? What is an "Expectation Hangover?" What is the key to marketing to millennials? In This Episode You Will Learn: How to create success by getting and feeling inspired Why it's important to have a coach How to use spiritual and practical/logical approaches to create with inspiration About working in your zone of genius Why beliefs around self-worth and money can affect your ability to earn The meaning of "expectation hangover" How to reframe failure and disappointment and treat on the emotional, mental, behavior and spiritual levels Why it's so crucial to surround yourself with other successful people Tips on marketing to millennials And so much more… Christine's Thoughts… "The external cannot fulfill the internal." "Success to me is doing things we love." "Finances aren't the only way that our self-worth issues and limiting beliefs show up." "Money does matter and it's energetic, and it's just another reflection of our overall well-being." "If you want to truly help people and serve and be an instrument, you've got to own your worth because you'll be able to serve more people." "I want to work with people who are willing to change." "You can wait for time to heal your wounds or you can dive in and do the healing work now." "Look at failure as feedback." -- Christine Hassler is a best-selling author, keynote speaker, master coach, podcast and TV host who is committed to guiding people and organizations into their highest potential. She left her successful job as a Hollywood agent at 25 to pursue a life she could be passionate about… but it did not come easily. After being inspired by her own unexpected challenges and experiences, she realized her journey was indeed her destination. In 2005, she wrote the first guidebook written exclusively for young women, entitled 20 Something 20 Everything. Christine's second book, The 20 Something Manifesto written for men and women stems from her experience coaching twenty-something's. Her newest book Expectation Hangover: Overcoming Disappointment in Work, Love and Life is the guidebook for how to treat disappointment on the emotional, mental, behavioral and spiritual levels. 41: How to Instantly Change Your Abundance Story

What's your abundance story? Are you happy with where you're at? Or do you operate from a place of lack? If you're the latter, it's time to change things up. As you learned from my previous mini episode, we're ALL entitled to abundance, but we're not guaranteed it. That means, when it comes to your own abundance story, it's up to YOU to make the decisions. So first off, you're the one who sets the finish line. Realize that it's a subjective decision as to what your abundance story us. You are radically abundant right now. You just may be choosing to see your current level of abundance as a lack of abundance because of how you're choosing to define it. "Abundance is nothing more than an opinion or feeling. You determine what it is to you." For example, let's say you make $50K a year, and you're not feeling abundant because you feel like you're not making a lot of money until you hit $100K. That lack of abundance you feel is on you. You're the one who created that definition of abundance and you're unable to recognize the abundance in the $50K that you already make. The same goes for the person making $100K who feels a lack because they're not making half a million… See where I'm going with this? "You can't be pissed off if you don't feel abundant, because you're the one who set the finish line." You must recognize that you're the one in control of how you define abundance and appreciate the abundance you already have. To help, I encourage you to start a gratitude practice. Personally, every morning I start my day with a positive mantra. Mine and my wife's is: "I am happier, healthier, wealthier, and more fit than I was yesterday." Then, I do a quick prayer of gratitude – expressing thanks for all the big and little things in my life in that moment. After all, when you're appreciative of what you already have and you're feeling abundance, you're going to attract more abundance. Lastly, know that your abundance story is just that – a story. This story is nothing but ONE interpretation of the events in your life. "The events aren't fiction, but the meaning you put on them is pure fiction. Nothing has meaning other than the meaning you apply to it." So do your best to change the events, people or choices that downgrade your abundance story. Choose well! Consciously choose to see the positive over the negative. "Choose a level of abundance so big that others benefit from it as well." In This Episode You Will Learn: How to create a more rewarding abundance story Why your abundance story is really a subjective decision How to take control of and appreciate the abundance you already have Why having a gratitude practice is so important Resources: For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

40: The Million Dollar Wedding Photographer - BRANDING EXPERT Jenna Kutcher

After studying corporate business and graduating from college, small-town Wisconsin girl, Jenna Kutcher, landed her dream job (or at least she thought) in a large Midwest-based corporation. Unfortunately, her dreams of wearing heels and a business suit morphed into wearing khaki and red – and was far from glamorous. She knew there had to be something more in store for her. Enter in the $300 Craig's List camera. Jenna started taking pictures, enjoying the learning process and sharing her captures online. People started to notice her talent and asked if she would take pictures for them. And so it began, she booked 25 weddings without ever shooting one. A year later, she was doing so well that she was able to leave her corporate job and began photographing weddings full time. Her photography soon developed into a focus and love for branding. She connected so deeply with her brides and wanted to make their personal visions come to life. This love, and let's be honest, branding genius, quickly turned into a six-figure business. Having found such success personally, she was confused when she learned that others in wedding photography were struggling. Seeing the need, Jenna began to teach others what she'd learned. Since then, her photography and branding business has skyrocketed to a seven-figure business (and growing) all based on this founding concept of generosity. From free content and blogs to merchandise and online training courses, Jenna wants everyone to find the same success she has. And she does it all from a place of authenticity, sharing the honest highs and lows of her life and business. -- Question Highlights: How have you taken a very common industry and turned it into a seven-figure entrepreneurial endeavor? How did you book 25 weddings without ever shooting one? Do a lot of artists, in general, suffer from limiting money mindsets? Did you always have a strong money mindset? What does it take to stand out as a wedding photographer? Where did your drive and high standard of performance come from? What do we need to know to build a bigger and more engaged audience on IG? In This Episode You Will Learn: How Jenna's wedding photography (and branding expertise) began. Helpful (but simple) tips that launched Jenna's wedding photography business. How to be resourceful without a ton of money. About limiting money mindset beliefs. That how you spend your time is just as important as the money you make. Why it's so important to first and foremost make connections with people on social media. Jenna's top tips for posting and monetizing those posts on Instagram. And so much more… Jenna's Thoughts… "I landed in the dream job – and it wasn't a dream." "Anyone can go out and do their work for free so they have work to show for it." "I believe we should get paid to do what we love." "We try to guess what people will be willing to pay for our products or services instead of trusting that we can speak directly to the people who will see our worth and value – and pay full value." "Time is my motivator. Money is not. Money is just a measure of how I'm doing with my time." "The more vulnerable I've been, the more I've aligned myself with the right people." "People start to recognize you not just by what you do, but by who you are." "I teach the what and the why, and then I offer the how." "When you hire a team that thinks the best of you, that believes in you, that gets behind you, it's the most incredible thing you can do for yourself, for your sanity and for your business." "Whenever my life hits the fan, my business booms!" -- Jenna is small-town Wisconsin photographer, painter, and educator with big dreams. Obsessed with: mac and cheese, puppies, and yoga pants. Most days, you'll find her in yoga pants, working on the couch with a smile on her face and rescue pups in her lap – or making googly eyes at her hunky husband, Drew, from across the room. 39: Finally UNLOCK The ABUNDANCE You Desire by Answering This Question

Do you know why you haven't chased down that radical wealth and abundance that you KNOW you're entitled to and capable of earning? Get ready, it's time for a deep-dive into your mind! I can tell you from personal experience, that it's one of the worst feelings to know that you can do something, but you're not doing it! But the good news is that you can begin to eliminate these feelings by asking ONE question that can help unlock the answers as to why you haven't followed through on your pursuit of this abundance wealth. "Who/what is it serving by you holding back on your quest for wealth and abundance?" Are your wheels turning? We've all been stuck before (yes, me too) because we're serving someone or something instead of rising to the occasion, going out and getting that abundance. Stop playing SMALL! For instance, you're not serving your business when you don't make those sales calls that take your business to another level – you're serving fear. Same goes for people… You don't DARE make more money than those in your group of friends, because that would make them uncomfortable, right? Guess who you're serving? Hint, it's not you! Take responsibility for you and get after it. "You are entitled – not guaranteed – to make the choices to be abundant and wealthy." You must become unapologetic when it comes to your abundance and wealth. Until you do, you're not going to realize what you're capable of earning, doing or creating. Trust me, I KNOW this can be extremely uncomfortable, but it's more uncomfortable to know that you're capable of doing something so much bigger, but you're anchored because you're afraid of making someone or something different than it is today. Know that you're not the only one who feels that way, and if you have to, borrow some faith from a friend and make it into your own. I promise that once you're able to move past this who or what isn't serving, that's when everything starts coming together and abundance appears. In This Episode You Will Learn: About ridding your life of things or people that aren't serving you About why it's dangerous to choose temporary safe zones over abundance How to become unapologetic when it comes to wealth and abundance About the importance of accepting change and getting comfortable with the uncomfortable Entrepreneurship Resources: For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

38: How This Soul-Fueled CEO Quickly got her Business to SKYROCKET with Amber Lilyestrom

Everyone, meet Amber Lilyestrom, a fellow entrepreneur and passionate soul who left a successful career to make a bigger impact and fulfill her soul's higher calling, which has since allowed her to pour more of her time and soul into her family. She now enjoys pushing herself beyond her human limits and mindset roadblocks that inevitably pop up along the way – all to be the BEST version of who she was born to be. What I love the most about this mompreneur's mission and story is that she's done all of this to help others create businesses that align more with who they are. Amber wants everyone to lead the happiest and most fulfilling life through "coming home to their truth." And she loves to facilitate that process. "I've always wanted to empower people to embrace and accept themselves because I never did." Of course, the above is rarely a straight path, and that's why Amber is so transparent about the challenges she's faced and continues to face (mostly her own limiting beliefs that made her question her personal value). Through her own experiences, she is able to whole-heartedly encourage others to take that leap and use what they have (or don't have) to their advantage. "Action builds belief." This podcast is a must-listen for all those who feel that pull on their souls to do something bigger and more true to themselves. It is my hope that by the end of this episode that your soul is fueled, ready to make an impact in your own unique way. "When I invest in me, it is the greatest investment I will ever make in this lifetime because it pays in dividends exponentially." Question Highlights: How were you taught to view money? What actions are you taking right now to overcome challenges? When did you start your business? How did you make the transition from your existing career to your own business? What has changed since your business started that has allowed your business to grow so quickly? What has been the best investment you've made so far? What role has generosity played in your life/business? What are some of the BS reasons that hold other mom's back from pursuing their calling? In This Episode You Will Learn: How Amber overcame her limiting money mindset beliefs. Why there is more than enough time in your day to fulfill your soul's purpose. Why it's so important to teach what you've already went through. How the role of generosity plays in Amber's life and business. Why you are good enough RIGHT NOW to go after your soul's calling. How stepping into your own truth and doing the work that's in alignment with your soul's purpose can make the world a better place. And so much more… Amber's Thoughts… "Our bank accounts and our bodies are really truly these beautiful mirrors for where we are at with our relationships and ourselves." "We must operate at a higher level and clear the space and clutter that's not making us feel good in order to become the master visionaries, creators and leaders that we are." "The more I honor what I feel called to and what I am the very best at, the more abundance and goodness there is in my business, bank account, how my body feels and relationships." "I will always bet on myself." "Give people permission to be who they are." "By you stepping into your truth and doing the work that's in alignment with your soul's purpose and calling, you are making the world a better place. When you don't do that, and shut the door out of fear, then you shut the door on the expansion and growth of mankind." -- Amber Lilyestrom is a transformational branding & business strategist, writer and speaker. 37: Fuc#*ng Google It!

First off, pardon my French, but I really felt the need for an emphasis, a real punch-in-the-gut phrase to drive this episode's message home. One of my recent pet peeves (that completely blows my mind) is when people say they don't know how to do something or how to get started. I politely call BS! "We live in the easiest time to start a business and thrive that there has ever been." Information is abundant and it's at our fingertips – you just have to effing Google it! If you want to learn how to launch an eCourse – Google it! You will no doubt find tons of information – videos, step-by-step tutorials – you name it. "There's not a single thing you can't learn on Google." Now I'm not saying all of the things you find are going to be your best answer (perhaps leave surgery for a REAL surgeon?), however it is so FREEING! You no longer have to let this notion stop you in your tracks. And let's be honest, in this day and age, if you're not making progress in your business because you don't know how, you're just letting fear win. "You're driving that fear train to victimhood." Stop being a victim and letting fear win. Don't be afraid to take that step forward. Give up the comfort of playing the victim and asking for someone to help you. Again, I'm not saying any of this to be mean – I simply care about my listeners and want them to wake up! Three takeaways from this episode: Wake up and realize that you can do ANYTHING! If you didn't know before, all of the answers are on Google. Take action. Don't allow limiting beliefs or fear to slow you down.
