Inthe early morning hours of Friday, 13 November 1925, in Northampton, Massachusetts, a young woman named Jean M. Robeson was discovered dead in her dormitory at Smith College by asphyxiation through illuminating gas. However, shortly after Jean's untimely death, another tragedy would befall the institute. At around 8 a.m. that same morning, Alice M. Corbett exited her room in the Clark House dormitory. She may have also had $75 in cash on her person. It would mark the last time she was seen alive by anyone. The murder of Suzanne Capper was committed in Greater Manchester, England in December 1992. Sixteen-year-old Suzanne Jane Capper died in Withington Hospital on 18 December 1992, from multiple organ failure arising from 80% burns after being deliberately lit on fire on 14 December. Before her death, Capper related that she had been kidnapped and kept prisoner for seven days at a house in Moston, Manchester, where she was beaten and tortured.Suzanne was taken from the house by car, driven into the countryside, and forced out of the car into a wood at Werneth Low where petrol was poured over her and she was set alight. The torture and murder arose from the "avenging [of] trivial grievances: a sexual insult, infection with pubic lice and the loss of a pink duffel coat." One of Canada's most notorious serial killers is Bruce McArthur. Currently in prison and serving a life sentence for murdering eight men, McArthur terrorized Toronto's gay community by targeting and killing gay men who frequented the Gay Village neighborhood of the city. Most of his victims were of Middle Eastern and South Asian descent, and they had not yet come out; their sexuality was not known by their relatives. But from 2010-2017, McArthur apparently knew, and hunted them down for it. The 69-year-old landscaper had also dated and been in sexual relationships with some of his victims.
