Sarah Grynberg: The necessity of change for a life of greatness
Sarah Gyrnberg is living a life of greatness. She defines it as a life of service, kindness, authenticity and love. The child that was a dreamer, worked her way into a life with a glitzy job in entertainment, that was marked with achievements and celebrity. But her success masked the internal emptiness she was feeling. Sarah embraced the ‘river of change’, and along the way to finding her Life of Greatness, she has put in the work and had conversations with some of the world’s highest achievers. A life of greatness is available to us all, if we are brave enough and consistent enough to dive into the river of change. Dr Simon Longstaff: The Moral Courage of Ethical Leadership
The true difference between leaders and managers comes down to ethics. Managers may make the ‘right’ choice, or the popular choice. Leaders push past standard customs and practices, and will follow their moral code to make decisions. Dr Simon Longstaff, Executive Director of The Ethics Centre, has structured his life around philosophy and ethics, after it was modelled to him by his mother when he was just a child, and continued during his early career on Groote Eylandt. True leadership is not about living and modelling a perfect ethical life, there is no such thing, but making conscious choices that align with core values, and sometimes that takes enormous moral courage.Links from the episode: The Ethics Centre Common SenseThe Rights of Man Perfect Days What does Two Am I mean to you?
