Hooray, you found us. Welcome to folding towels. A podcast where we explore the real world of being a massage therapist. We are your hosts, Jackie and David, and together we bring a couple of decades of experience being massage therapists and running our own businesses. We will be sharing our knowledge and expertise with you, all the fun and the not so fun things that they never taught you at massage school, and you're probably asking questions about in Facebook. Do you know why I became a massage therapist? It wasn't so that I could stay up late preparing social media posts, writing blogs, writing up client notes, washing towels and doing. My own bookkeeping. In this podcast, we aim to talk with you about all of the boring things that you hate to do so that you can get on with what you actually love and trained to do. From the boring policy and compliance stuff through to how to serve your clients the best you possibly can. We'll cover it all. Over time, we'll also discuss the latest research on pain science, how to work with particular niches, how to grow your own practise, how to stay fresh and strong, and avoid burning out. Did you know that the average career of a massage therapist is only five to seven years, or we want you to enjoy what you do for far, far longer than that? Just like we have? And without selling your soul. And of course, we'll have some fun along the way. We'll be inviting fellow massage therapists to join us on the show, as well as some other experienced people who know the stuff that we don't. And you know what?
