#2-Seven Dimensions Of Facilitation To Balance In Your Workshops
Great facilitation is all about constantly balancing between competing needs: goal vs. process, individual participant’s needs vs. energy of the group, between your plan and ability to be flexible. In this episode, I’ll introduce you to one of my favorite frameworks to reflect on your facilitation: the 7 Dimensions of Facilitation. It’s simple, practical, and powerful in helping you identify blind spots and become more adaptable as a facilitator. We’ll explore: ✅ What the 7 dimensions are ✅ How to recognize your natural tendencies ✅ Practical tips to shift and balance more intentionally ✅ Reflection questions to grow your facilitation skillsetWhether you’re an experienced facilitator or just starting out, this episode will help you sharpen your awareness and design more engaging, balanced, and effective sessions.📥 Download the handout: https://www.trainers-toolbox.com/podcast-episodes-seven-dimensions-of-facilitation-to-balance-in-your-workshop/📬 Join the Trainers Toolbox weekly newsletter:https://www.trainers-toolbox.com/newsletter/🔗 To explore this topic deeper and in a practical way, sign up for Advanced Facilitation Training:https://www.trainers-toolbox.com/advanced-facilitation-training/🌱 Explore the Trainers’ Conversations Community https://www.trainers-toolbox.com/trainers-conversations-community/Other random info: All 7 dimensions are a scale between two extremes, and it is the task of the facilitator to be fluid in moving in both directions on those scales. Balancing these doesn’t mean always hitting the sweet spot in the middle - instead, it means being fluid on the scale and knowing when to move more in one direction or the other. Which direction is more effective in a given moment will depend on the goals of your process, the current stage, the time available, and the energy of your participants.Links to facilitation bootcamp, train the trainer and trainers conversationshttps://www.trainers-toolbox.com/train-the-trainer-course/https://www.trainers-toolbox.com/advanced-facilitation-training/https://www.trainers-toolbox.com/trainers-conversations-community/
