This weeks guest was Simon Spooner. In this episode we tried to highlight some of the limitations of foot orthoses research, and the way clinicians should be viewing all conclusions made in the context of said limitations. We talk about what "perfect" orthoses research may look like, the things we may want to 'measure' and the apparent discourse between the lab and the clinic. We discuss what 'dosing' is, and how it may help us answer questions which are currently unanswered. Simon's connection for the first 10 minutes of so was a bit unstable but hang in there as it does sort itself out eventually!

In this episode we were joined by Nina Lansdowne from Word Prescription to talk about content and got some great information from here about what good and bad content is, tips on what your website homepage and biography/about us pages should look like, ideas for blogs and newsletters and importantly how not to break the law and get on the wrong side of the authorities (in Australia).

In this episode we welcome two titans of Maltese Podiatry who talk to us about studying in Malta (which given the climate and the low fees seems like a very attractive opportunity) and showcase some of the huge research output they have been involved in concerning the diabetic foot (and why you may want to think about toe pressures rather than the ABPI, and also think about treating yourself to a thermal camera). Live podiatry chats with Craig Payne and Ian Griffiths. In this episode Dave gives his experience (both from his years of clinical practice and his research) on manual therapy; with particular comment on its use for intermetatarsal neuroma. He also voices his opinion on some of the criticisms of manual therapy - namely that the effects are short term, and that it can promote fragility, dependance and a reduction in self efficacy.
