Katrina Chen is the Minister of State for Child Care in British Columbia since 2017. First elected as a B.C. Member of the Legislative Assembly in 2017, Minister Chen represents the BC NDP in the riding of Burnaby-Lougheed. She was also a school trustee on the Burnaby Board of Education and for over a decade, she worked in provincial and federal constituency offices. Her father was a City Councillor in Taichung, Taiwan.

Dr. Amanda Watson is a lecturer of Sociology and Anthropology at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Her research interests include reproduction, media representations of maternal labour, the politics of family, and the formation of self and identity in Western culture. Her first book, The Juggling Mother: Coming Undone in the Age of Anxiety, is available now.

Jen St. Denis is a Vancouver-based journalist covering the Downtown Eastside for The Tyee. Throughout her career, she has also covered housing, economics, business and politics. Her work has appeared in Star Vancouver, The Toronto Star, Vancouver Sun, Business in Vancouver, The Vancouver Courier, and CTV News Vancouver. Brittlestar (or, Stewart Reynolds) is a Canadian social media celebrity and artist whose content has generated 500-million views across Vine, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Hailing from Stratford, Ontario, he is known as the Internet’s Favourite Dad.

Tamara Taggart is an award-winning Canadian broadcasting icon and community leader. She has volunteered thousands of hours in the community, sat on the boards for several non-profit organizations, and advocated for the well-being of children and people with disabilities. She once co-hosted Live! With Regis and Kelly. She’s well-known for her time as a popular news anchor at CTV. She is also the host of the TELUS Talks podcast. In 2015, she was awarded British Columbia’s highest honour, The Order of British Columbia. Earlier in 2020, Tamara was featured on Episode #64 of This is VANCOLOUR which garnered a feature in The Vancouver Sun.

Bowinn Ma is the twice-elected BC NDP British Columbia Member of Legislative Assembly for North Vancouver-Lonsdale. In November 2020, she was appointed the BC Minister of State for Infrastructure. Bowinn was first featured on This is VANCOLOUR in Episode #77.

Joanna Chiu is the world famous, Vancouver-based National Correspondent for the Toronto Star focused on Canada-China relations and current affairs. She was the Beijing-based correspondent for Agence France Presse (AFP), the world’s oldest news agency and the China and Mongolia correspondent for the top German news agency, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA). In Hong Kong, she reported for the South China Morning Post, The Economist, and The Associated Press. Her work has also appeared in The Guardian, BBC World, The Atlantic, Newsweek, and Al Jazeera. She was featured in a This is VANCOLOUR, “Colourful Call” segment on May 7.

Teresa Campbell is a full-spectrum doula (including her work as a death doula and grief guide) for over twenty-five years with a focus on birth, death, loss, and trauma. An activist, celebrant, and director of yoga and doula teacher trainings locally and internationally, hosting workshops, ceremonies, retreats and mentorships through La Lupa Via. She first appeared on This is VANCOLOUR in Episode #69.
