Sylvia Taylor is an author and writing coach based in Vancouver, BC. In addition to two literary non-fiction book, The Fisher King: A Deckhand’s Tale of the BC Coast (Heritage House Publishing Group, 2012) and Beckoned by the Sea, Women at Work on the Cascadia Coast (Heritage House Publishing Group, 2017), she has authored over 400 magazine and newspaper articles. She was the Executive Director of the Federation of BC Writers, for 13 years, coached over 100 book projects and judged over 60 writing competitions (essays, short stories, books) in Canada/USA. In this episode Sylvia shares what a writing coach does, how they can help you in your writing goals, and identifies common blocks that she sees in her clients and how to overcome them so that you keep, above all else, "laying the track."
