John is an Executive Vice President and Managing Member of MACC Venture Partners where he directs acquisitions, strategic development, capital management and growth. He also oversees alternative financing and investor/portfolio development.  He co-directed the company’s recent growth from a 2500 units owner/operator to a current 6500 units owner/operator by developing a market brand and proliferating and growing a portfolio of institutional and individual investors in the syndications of the company’s assets; as well as the launch of several closed-end asset funds.  In 2019 John launched a new capital advisory and consulting firm called Peak 15 Capital to help other CRE operators and sponsors with their capital stack.  John is also currently an advisory board member of several Charlotte based companies. Texas Office Space: 90-95% of investment grade tenants with longer term leases are paying their rent on time.  Lease renewals have lowered for office and retail spaces as a result of COVID-19. COVID-19 has accelerated the migration from the north to the south. Virtual leasing has changed the leasing process for commercial spaces. The Multi-FAMILY zone was created to address these questions, along with a host of questions from the Jake and Gino community.   In this week’s show, Julia and Gino share their experience with homeschooling their six children, their trials and tribulations, as well as their wonderful experience with having their kids learn at home.  They ask the listeners some difficult questions and give them a framework on how to make this difficult decision whether to homeschool or send their kids to school during the current pandemic.   The key to success is to always focus on what is best for your family and personal situation. Homeschooling may sound like the best option, but if it doesn’t fit into your schedule or if you think you do not have the ability to teach your kids, then it may not be right for you.  Behaviors are belief driven, and I always had the belief and still do that my wife is the most qualified person to teach our kids.   Most importantly, we want to impart confidence to our listeners that they can homeschool their kids.
