The Power of Influence and Storytelling With Eric Edmeades
On this episode, Jake and Gino talk with Eric Edmeades. Eric is a serial entrepreneur with experience including wireless networking, military research, Hollywood film production, and award-winning and life-saving medical simulation. Today, Eric is a leading authority in Behavioral Change Dynamics. Eric has created and consulted on some of the most effective, transformative, and highly rated educational products and live events in the world. Widely recognized as one of the most powerful, engaging and entertaining speakers in the world today, Eric Edmeades has shared the stage with Sir Richard Branson, Jack Canfield, John Gray, Robin Sharma, and Bill Clinton. Key takeaways from this episode: Take a good care of your health, keep it non-negotiable. The value of public speaking is unbelievable. If you want to be a public speaker, the first thing to do is never admit that you are not comfortable with it, even if you are. Be aware of your eye movements while speaking in public. Be focussed and do not make it look wandering. Do eye-gazing exercises before you go to the stage. Do not write your speeches and rehearse to deliver the same. You may not be able to remember your speech verbatim, and there are chances that if you forget about one sentence then you tend to forget the following ones, breaking the flow. Instead do speech mapping and list out the stories or points that you want to cover during the speech. See the way you want it, breath, soften the eyes, prepare and create predictable start and finish. You don’t want to miss this episode if you want to learn the art of effective public speaking. Passive vs Active Investing W/ Dusten Hendrickson
There are several different ways to get started with real estate investing and it all depends on your vision, goals and availability. On this episode, Jake and Gino talk with Dusten Hendrickson. Dusten develops real estate, purchases existing value add real estate, and invests passively as an LP. He also helps others invest in the same deals he invests in. He owns and asset manages over 300 units and he passively invests in over 1000 units. Key takeaways from this episode: Revenue is vanity, profit margin is sanity and cash is king. Is The Dual Asset Strategy A Right Fit For You? Find Out.
Learn how you can create generational wealth using the three tenets of Simplicity, Probability and Leverage - AND how the Dual Asset Strategy integrates all three of these. On this episode, Jake and Gino talk with their 100 Year REI Co-Founder, Rick Sapio. Rick is a life-long entrepreneur who started his first company when he was 13 years old, and since then, he has founded more than 20 companies. The key takeaways from this Podcast include the following: If you have a large amount of cash in the bank right now, you know that you are at risk of your money losing value due to the low interest rate environment and inflation. A specially designed whole life insurance policy can help you keep up with inflation, earn a competitive rate of return, and have your cash liquid and available for investment opportunities. In uncertain times, you should align yourself with companies and products that have been through it all. The 100 Year Real Estate Investor only works with insurance carriers that have remained profitable through wars, economic depressions, market crashes, and pandemics You can leverage the policy by borrowing against the cash value to invest in real estate, creating two assets out of the same dollars! The Dual Asset strategy is a long-term strategy. It is not a get rich quick scheme. So, you need to have a long-term mindset in order to appreciate this product. How to Find Rental Comps In Your Real Estate Market
When finding rental comps in your market, you need to consider the following: Proximity Similar Size/Amenities Similar Vintage Similar Unit Size Similar Renovations Be careful of only using Rent/Sq Ft as a key performance indicator, because you need to consider the size of the units in your market. Also be aware that Townhouses charge a premium over garden units. Reach out to Mike at miket@randcre.com with any questions

Opportunities in Self Storage Investing W/ Kris Benson
"Some men see things as they are and ask WHY? I dream things that never were and ask, WHY NOT?" - Robert Kennedy On this episode, Jake and Gino talk with Kris Benson. Kris is a managing principle at Reliant Investments, a subsidiary of Reliant Real Estate Management, a top 30 operator in the self-storage space. Kris oversees investor relations and equity contributions for Reliant’s portfolio expansions. Kris shares how he left his job and started with his real estate business eventually getting into self-storage real estate. While listening to a podcast, he was struck by the words: Risk is the tariff paid to leave the shores of predictable misery. Kris’ risks have paid off as he has charted his own course while building Reliant into an institutional quality investment platform. The key takeaways from the Podcast include the following: To raise capital, you need to have a track record and credibility to pitch investors. But what if you have just started. Check out what Kris advises. There is always something that can hold you back from making a deal, there is no perfect time to get started with real estate investing. Growth mindset doesn’t look for problems, it looks for solutions. It looks opportunities in problems. Big money is not in buying and selling, but buying and waiting. That’s how wealthy people think about real estate investing. Listen to the podcast to learn more. Do you want to learn more about Multifamily Investing? How To Be More Decisive and Find Your Why
We all need to make decisions each day in our lives. Some may impact us, and some may not. We are reluctant to make the decisions that can impact our lives, though we really do not know what that impact will be. Many times making significant decisions becomes a stressful exercise, while it should not. In this episode, Julia and Gino Barbaro give you the framework to make any decision, especially the hard ones. They give you a glimpse into times of their own life when they, as a couple, needed to make decisions. Decision making is a skill. You grow when you make decisions, and you create the framework of your value system every time you do. The key takeaways from the Podcast include the following: You need to have a growth mindset. Decisions may go wrong, but they bring with them the learning that will need you to make more decisions along the way. You need to have a value-system when making decisions. Emotions are not the sole factor to make any decision, it is just a part of it. Get out of your own way. When you decide anything, take a tiny step towards it and keep moving forward. Get information from those that matter to you that have related experience The Multifamily Zone podcast was launched in 2019 to serve families and spouses who are committed to working together, building a better relationship with their kids, and strengthening the communication amongst the entire family.
