MFZ - Growing The Business For Our Kids

Welcome to The Multi-FAMILY zone podcast, where business meets family. The hosts of the show, Julia and Gino Barbaro, have been married for over twenty years, and have six children. Julia homeschools the children, and recently became a marriage and life coach to help couples become better communicators and help enrich their lives. The couple is constantly asked about how they balance their entrepreneurial & real estate journey while raising their kids. The Multi-FAMILY zone was created to address these questions, along with a host of questions from the Jake & Gino community. In this episode Gino and Julia discuss their views on mixing business and children. How we realized and addressed the issue of assuming our children will follow in dads footsteps and take over the family business may not be the best idea.   Are we Growing the business for ourselves or our Business for our kids?   Are we deciding our kids future?   This Jake and Gino Community is all about asking “what are your passions..interests…?” Are we asking our children the same questions? ...Or are we telling them what is best for them. “My father build this business so I could take over.”..Well, what happens if they don’t want it? We would love to hear your story on what challenges you face when talking to your children about their future. Email juliabarbaro@gmail.com or leave a comment down below with any questions or comments, and she will be sure to answer it on a show. Since then, both Jim’s message and his book, the Amazon best-seller “The Family Board Meeting,” have spread around the globe. Often called “Crazy Glue” for families, Jim’s popular and simple frameworks now reach thousands of parents worldwide, helping them feel more connected with their kids, be happier at home and leave a lasting legacy. Jim is the founder of 18 Summers, which specializes in live events, workshops and private consulting for organizations looking to strengthen their family lives while still succeeding in business. He’s an in-demand public speaker, and owns a private real estate company that has done more than $200 million in transactions.
