Healthcare is complex, and sometimes healthcare workers have to act in ways that don’t feel right. These situations can lead to feelings of guilt, self-doubt, anger or frustration. They might feel like they weren’t able to deliver the best possible care due to factors out of their control. This is what moral distress looks like.
