What I Learned in My Year Without Alcohol
In this episode, Erin celebrates 365 days alcohol-free by reflecting on her experience and everything she learned. When we hear about someone being sober we assume they must have had a really tumultuous relationship with alcohol. In this conversation, Erin dispels the belief that you have to be at rock bottom to let go of alcohol and that sobriety is only for people who are addicted. Unlike many individuals who are sober, Erin doesn’t relate to being an alcoholic or even having a bad relationship with alcohol. It doesn’t feel like a daily battle to stay sober. What started out as a plan to do ‘dry January’ to give her system a break and to reduce anxiety led her to ask, “Is alcohol really moving me closer or further from the person I want to become?”. Every time the answer was clear. Grab your coffee, tea or glass of wine (zero judgment here!) and join Erin as she shares ;
Why “Dry January” turned into a year of no alcohol
The incredible shifts she noticed along the way
Her recommendations for anyone thinking of reducing alcohol
“I got sober because I wanted a better life. I stayed sober because I got one.” - unknown
