73. Going Beyond Fear
In this episode, Chandresh speaks about how the seeds of fear are planted in childhood. Many times, they are planted when we are conceived in our mother's wound, transferring the fear of our parents to us. Our own past life patterns may also show up. The bottom line is, all of the fear is a symptom of a deeper rooted problem. We are taught to run away from or operate from fear, which does not solve the problem. If we unconsciously move into fear, it builds blind obedience and unconscious rebellion. Both of these elements do not solve the problem. Chandresh shares specific solutions on how to understand fear, go beyond it, and how meditation can be a part of the solution. In next week's episode, we will share a meditation to help us go beyond fear. 72. Honoring Our Ancestors Through Tantra
In this episode, Chandresh talks about our relationship with ancestors. In the western culture, there is no specific ritual to honor the ancestors and include them in our day to day life. However, in many traditions of the world, there are specific ways to honor ancestors. In this episode, Chandresh discusses tantra and eastern wisdom traditions, sharing his own experience with ancestors and how honoring them starts to unblock conditioning and heal suppression. Even if we believe we are an original piece of art, we all have pieces of recycled material from our ancestors within us. Honoring our ancestors can help us expand our strength and potential. Chandresh shares many tantra practices and rituals including Kul Deva, deity of the lineage, and Kul Dosha, fault or blocked energy in the lineage. We hope this episode brings insight, specific solutions, and ritual practices for not only healing the connection with ancestors, but also bringing more strength, clarity, and courage in how your life is evolving and unfolding. 68. Self Realization- The Essential Revolution
It has become so difficult for us to experience self realization and peace without looking for the answers outside of us. It is very easy for the mind to constantly blame and look for the answers externally, but the truth is the solution lives within us. In this episode, Chandresh talks about the spiritual interpretation of the Black Lives Matter Movement, including the problem with selective compassion- when we are not able to perceive humans through the lens of awareness, but instead through division and different belief systems. He also discusses the relationship between collective karma and individual actions, and concerns with protests as they relate to the WallStreet and Me Too Movements. Instead of reacting with anger, it's important to cultivate and work on finding solutions. With the help of two mantras, we hope this episode helps all seekers cultivate a deeper meaning to the protests, and a stronger connection to the path of self realization. The two mantras from this episode include: Bhagwad Gita: yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata abhyutthanam adharmasya tadatmanam srjamy aham vasudhaiva kutumbakam which means the world is one family. 67. Rebel with Awareness
In this episode Chandresh shares his childhood experiences in recognizing the privilege he grew up with in the Brahmin Caste in India. Through these experiences, he learned to channel his privilege to bring empowerment and strength to those around him through unlearning and rewiring a lot of the belief systems around him. After moving from India to the US, he started seeing a different caste system heavily influenced by race. In this episode, he discusses how racism is deeply rooted in our minds and why change has to happen from a deeper fundamental level to make permanent change. He also discusses how to rebel with awareness by choosing your own path, and by stepping away from shaming others if their path looks different from your own. Rebellion is not a one dimensional lane, and we hope this episode guides you to find deep everlasting change along your rebellion journey. 65. Infinite Freedom - Mantra Meditation
We all are looking for freedom, but when we are stuck in the limited dimensions of the mind, we look for freedom from things. Often the material- all the things that are bothering us in a moment. We never look for the bigger freedom, which is the freedom to rather than the freedom from. In freedom to, the seeker seeks the freedom to simply be, to bloom, live our truth unapologetically, and exist fearlessly. In this meditation, we use the mantra aham brahma which means "I am the infinite awareness," or "I am the extension of the universe and the universe is the extension of me." This mantra instantly brings us to that ultimate freedom. The hope is that this meditation will allow you to experience that infinite freedom. The mantra can be used with this meditation, along with many other sacred meditations to heal and awaken your highest potential.
