How Land Investing Created A Balance For A Professional Actor
Paul Flanagan II is a professional actor who has over 20 years of experience. He is famously known for his appearances in Amazing Stories, 90 Feet from Home, and Your Honor. Paul is also a flight school graduate who has been doing phenomenal in the land business since graduating in December 2018. Paul’s interest in land investing began after listening to a podcast where Mark appeared as a guest. Having piqued his interest, Paul bought a copy of Mark’s book Dirt Rich and by its directives, he enrolled in flight school. Almost three years later, land investing continues to play an important role in Paul’s success with acting and other areas of his life.Listen in as they discuss:Paul’s journey as an actor and land investor.Generating passive income as an actor and as a land investor. How land investing can give you more time to focus on other areas of your life.Acting on the passion and desire you have to improve your life. And, more!TIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week is to learn more about the talents of Paul Flanagan II, start watching Your Honor, amazing stories.Scott: When you google carrots, egg, and coffee the first thing that comes up when you google it, it’s a restaurant in Hawaii called Alan Wongs, my favorite restaurant in Hawaii. Therefore, google that so you’ll remember my favorite restaurant, and when you go to Hawaii go to Alan Wong's Restaurant.Paul: My tip is Carrot-Egg-Coffee, it's a Mike Zaino thing, it’s a mindset thing. It’s actually a story- a carrot, egg, and coffee beans put into a pot with water then was boiled for 15 minutes. Are you going to be a carrot that was hard but once put in the boiling water or in an environment you come out soft or an egg that was soft at first then when you come out from an environment you’ve become hard or are you going to change the environment, be a coffee that can change what’s going around you? I think we should be coffee beans.Want To Listen More?Did you like this episode? Learn How To Build and Grow Wealth with Aaron Scott Young
Aaron Scott Young is a lifelong entrepreneur, trusted advisor, and business owner. He discovered his passion and talent for entrepreneurship early in life, and at age 18, he formed a recycling company in Portland, Oregon. He grew the company to 5,000 customers before selling it to become one of the first cellular phone dealers in Portland. For over 34 years, his garnered experiences from founding, acquiring, and directing multi-million dollar businesses as well as working as an officer for a publicly traded, multi-national company, have set him apart from the crowd as a trusted advisor of knowledge and authority. Today, Aaron is the CEO of Laughlin Associates, a pioneer in the incorporation industry that has helped over 100,000 entrepreneurs start, grow and profit from their business. He has made it his life’s work to arm other business owners with success formulas that immediately provide exponential growth and protection for their business.Listen in as they discuss:Aaron’s journey to developing wealth.Elements of a strong and successful business. What you need to grow your business.Qualities of a successful entrepreneur.Formulas to incorporate into your business. And, more!TIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week is going to be about reinforcing real wealth; not to solve your money problems, solve your time problems, and become an unshackled business owner. Learn more, go to aaronscottyoung.com.Scott: My tip is a book called Dare to Lead: Brave Work, Tough Conversations, Whole Hearts by Rene Brown.Aaron: At the beginning of the year, I go back either re-read or re-listen to The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. The principles taught in the Richest Man in Babylon are easy ways to think about how to manage money, debt, relationship, how to look at a long game, and if you look at a long game how to follow a recipe. Here’s a thing, if you follow a recipe don’t get greedy and stupid, just do things that are reasonable. Don’t try to get rich quick, if you’re making 10% 15% or 20% on an investment that’s great! Celebrate! Don’t think you have to double and triple every year. If you follow a proven recipe and you aren’t greedy, you will be surprised at how fast your wealth grows and you will be amazed at how many people are watching you. When people see you that you’re being responsible and you’re being a little aggressive, you're not afraid and you’re leading out, but you’re doing things in a smart way and having some success, all of a sudden everybody wants to hitch their wagons to your star because most people have no clue what’s going on, no clue what to do next and they’re desperately seeking guidance. The Richest Man in Babylon gives you all of the foundations to know what to look for, how to act, what to do so you can grow your wealth.Want To Listen More?Did you like this episode? Macs sometimes have Airdrop but it’s not always convenient so check out SnapDrop.net. All you do is open it up on your browser and you’ll see this in the middle of your computer that says Coral Pipe (maybe your says something else), and what will happen is, if I go to another device around me like my phone for example, and go to SnapDrop.net it will now see through the internet connection the other computer. If I drop a picture or file through there, it will move it to the other device seamlessly.Kirk: The one thing I think that has been the most productive for me this year is the book called The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran. It is so good, it helped me basically take a full year's worth of productivity and jamming into one quarter. I got all my year goals accomplished this year in the first quarter, it was amazing and I’m still shocked that I was able to do that. That is one of the books that I love and I’m spending the next two weeks re-reading it again to make sure I can do it again this year.WANT TO LISTEN MORE?Did you like this episode? An Easy Way To Understand Your Target Demographic
Josh Culler is the owner and founder of Culler Media and podcast host of REI Marketing Weekly and The Content Marketing Playbook. Also, he is a sought-after mentor and an active real estate investor. He has been in the real estate investing industry for seven (7) years and has helped hundreds of investors in their marketing efforts.Like many successful people before him, he didn’t go to school to study real estate in the effort to find a job. He was introduced to real estate at 19 years old by the father of his close friend. At the time, he just wanted a job that offered him the opportunity to be the creative genius that he is and make good money at the same time. After working for a while with several competitors, real estate investors, and clients, Josh discovered that he had a deep passion for content marketing and video production. Putting the other aspects of real estate on the backbench, he focused on strengthening his content marketing skills, which led to him zeroing in on a sore point for many real estate industry folks, video production. Through many successes and failures, he was able to break down the mammoth tasks of successful content marketing into simple, easy to follow steps that guarantee the best ROI.With his infectious personality and headstrong drive for success, Josh connects with his target demographic and clients on a friend-to-friend level. This skill of understanding your demography and maintaining open communication is one he aspires to teach all who seek him for guidance and mentorship. Through his company, Culler Media, he has positively impacted hundreds of people and aims to reach thousands, even millions more. Listen in as they discuss:Josh’s journey into real estate and the successes he enjoys presently.Recognizing your strengths and capitalizing on them.Learning when to let go of strategies that inconvenience you and your business. The benefits of hiring experts in specific fields you are weak in, despite your drawbacks about spending money out of your pocket. Taking time to delegate low priority tasks to competent colleagues/employees and focusing on the high priority tasks. Studying your audience to determine your target demographic and the content that is widely consumed by them. Keeping an active line of communication with your target demographic to grow your following and prospective client list. And, more!Every quatre is like dog years when it comes to marketing because it evolves so quickly. ~Josh CullerTIP OF THE WEEKMark: My tip of the week actually can move the needle in your life. Start blowing up your content marketing, learn your target audience, and where and what is going to be the most receptive message for them, then go to cullermedia.com.Scott: If you like money and want more of it then you have to read The 1-Page Marketing Plan that Josh Culler mentioned.Josh: My tip of the week is: create relevant content for your target demographic. When it comes to creating contextual; relevant content for your target demographic is going to take you far above what you could possibly imagine when it comes to competing with your competitors. That could be several mediums like writing, video, podcast, etc. This is why knowing your target demographic is so important because if your target demographic is not listening to your podcast then don't put it on your podcast. If they're not reading articles don't put it in your articles. Creating contextual marketing to your target demographic that is relevant to them is important. The purest definition of content marketing is answering the questions of your target demographic or audience has about your industry, services, or products.Isn’t it time to create passive income so you can work where you want, when you want and with whomever you want?
