Down With Boring #0150: Bradley Simpson
Down With Boring is back for its 150th (!!) episode for a new edition of our flagship radio-show-slash-podcast.
Bradley Simpson is our special guest, grabbed live and direct from our rammed Dork 100 show last month. That came straight ahead of the release of his debut solo album, ‘The Panic Years’, as he steps out as a Proper Concern in his own right. If how that gig went down is anything to go by, he’ll do just fine.
Meanwhile, we’re diving deep into Dork cover stars’ Divorce and their debut album ‘Drive To Goldhammer’, and blasting through some quality new music from Sports Team, Black Country New Road, Chloe Qisha, HotWax and more.

Down With Boring #0149: Hype List Tour 2025 Special
Down With Boring is back for its latest episode, recorded live at the London leg of our Hype List 2025 Tour with Welly, Polly Money, and The Pill. Expect a bumper edition of our flagship radio-show-slash-podcast, as we dig into all the behind-the-scenes action from one of the most exciting bills around.
First up, Welly stops by to chat about his(-slash-their-slash-whatever) brand new album, life inside the Hype List Tour, and the ever-pressing question of how many browser tabs is too many. (Apparently, a lot fewer than we currently have open!) We’ll also get the lowdown on his favourite Chas ‘n’ Dave tracks and compare notes on some ultra-local venue choices along the way.
Meanwhile, Polly Money checks in to talk about releasing fresh material, much of which she’s debuting live on tour. From new tunes to on-the-road tales, there’s plenty to keep your ears perked for.

Down With Boring #0148: overpass
Down With Boring is back for its latest episode. overpass are our special guests. Fresh off being included in our very exclusive Hype List for 2025, the quartet are on the verge of dropping their new EP, ‘Dependent’ at the end of the month. It’s a collection that showcases a bdn hitting their stride, occupying that sweet spot between ambition and authenticity. Which basically means it’s high time they made it onto the show.
Meanwhile, we’re going over Inhaler’s new album ‘Open Wide’, and blasting through some quality new music from the likes of Welly, Chloe Slater, Divorce and more.

Down With Boring #0147: jasmine.4.t
This time, jasmine.4.t is our special guest, fresh off the back of the release of her Really Very Brilliant Indeed debut album, ‘You Are The Morning’. Released on Queen Phoebe Bridgers’ label Saddest Factory, we get some (probably not) world exclusive stories of what it’s like to be ‘in’ the ‘studio’ with your actual Boygenius, plus an extended chat about weird sea creatures. You’re used to it by now.
During the chat, jasmine mentions a crowdfunder for her friend Yulia, currently on remand in HMP Bronzefield following a violent raid and arrest in November. More information on the fundraiser and a link to donate can be found here.
Meanwhile, we’re dissecting FKA twigs’ new album ‘Eusexua’, and blasting through some quality new music from Chloe Qisha, Viagra Boys, Swim School and more.

Down With Boring #0146: Rockaway Beach 2025
Down With Boring brings the seaside shenanigans of Rockaway Beach to your ears, as our intrepid hosts Jake and Jamie deliver a festival special recorded live from the glamorous Butlin’s Bognor Regis that proves January doesn’t have to be all dry veganuary pledges and forgotten gym memberships.
Special guests include Isle of Wight’s newest noise-makers The Pill, who’ve been turning heads since first appearing with a bang last year. The punk duo’s singles ‘Bale of Hay’ and ‘Scaffolding Man’ have been building ‘quite the foundation’ for future chaos – and yes, we’re quite proud of that pun, thanks for asking. With a stint on the Dork Hype List Tour 2025 to come very-soon-indeed, they’re our kind of band. They’re joined by Brighton’s own, Dork faves Lime Garden, whose debut album ‘One More Thing’ landed last February to understandable acclaim – unexpected, brilliant, and impossible to ignore.

Down With Boring #0145: Christmas Special 2024 with Sports team
Ho ho ho, etc etc etc. Sports Team are wrapping up 2024 by joining us for a very special Christmas edition of Down With Boring, and – much like your nan’s present pile – this one’s absolutely stacked. Our essential podcast-slash-radio-show is closing out the year with a festive feast of reflection, selection and (lack of) direction, as the gang dive into twelve months of musical brilliance to crown their albums and tracks of the year.
As we stagger into the final furlong of the year with the sort of reckless abandon usually reserved for the office party karaoke, expect tangents and blatant diversions. The perfect audio accompaniment to your last-minute present wrapping existential crisis.

Down With Boring #144: Master Peace
Down With Boring is gearing up for the festive season, bringing an early Christmas present to all Dear Readers from across the land. The latest episode of our essential podcast-slash-radio-show dives into the archives to unpack what makes our annual Christmas Night Out such a treasured tradition, as well as catches up with our latest Xmas chum, Master Peace.
Unwrapping tales from past editions, the show revisits feature chats with some of indie’s finest – from The Amazons’ arena-sized ambitions to Panic Shack’s gloriously chaotic charm, Lambrini Girls’ punk spirit to L Devine’s pop perfection, plus unmissable moments with The Itch and Abbie Ozard. Then we wrap this year’s headliner Master Peace in tinsel for a pre-party chat.
This year’s festive gathering is wrapped and ready, with Master Peace confirmed to headline Dork’s Christmas Night Out 2024. The celebration returns to its spiritual home at Colours Hoxton, London on Tuesday 17th December, with Lucy Tun in support, promising another night of yuletide brilliance.

Down With Boring is back for its latest episode with a line-up hot enough to keep the heating off until December at least.
Lambrini Girls are our special guests, as they get ready to drop their much anticipated debut album 'Who Let The Dogs Out'.
