The Patrick Madrid Show: December 31, 2024 - Hour 3

Original Air Date: 08/20/24 Patrick dives deep into a real-life story of heartbreak, family dynamics, and difficult boundaries. He hears from Mary in Chicago, who shares her emotional journey dealing with an unfaithful ex-husband and the impact on her children. Patrick talks about forgiveness, self-respect, and the importance of maintaining boundaries, especially when dealing with toxic behaviors and difficult relationships.   Patrick continues his conversation with Job from the end of the previous hour. He tells Patrick, “There was a tremendous amount of infidelity on my wife part (who's in the public eye) and I slapped her.  My children hate me.  We are separated but we don't have an annulment.  I don't know how to approach her.  How do I get through to my kids that I'm the good guy?” (00:38) Mary - My son is cut off from his father.  We've been divorced for 30 years.  I've not dated, but my ex-husband was a repeat adulterer.  How could my son honor his father in this situation? (11:29) Don - I've read recently that many Catholics are not registered to vote in the elections and those registered don't bother to vote.  I heard from a priest that it's an obligation for Catholics to vote.  Where does this come from? (17:38) John - The NAVY Seals are hunting drug cartels in Venezuela and they withheld last rites from a drug dealer unless he gave up important information.
