Dealing with difficult parental relationships can be tough, but honoring your father and mother doesn't mean putting them on a pedestal. It's about giving the due respect they deserve, even if your parents have hurt you or done wrong. Forgiveness is key. Release that emotional baggage and find peace. Even if you don't feel the warm and fuzzies, praying for them can be enough. Don't stay in toxic or dangerous situations, but know that honoring them can also mean setting boundaries.   Joan - How do you know if a marriage is valid or could be annulled? (00:52) Tom - What if you were the child of Hitler/Mussolini, should you honor them?  I say no.  Regardless of where you came from, the best way to honor parents is to live a Godly life and bring honor to the family.
