Brian from Jacksonville found himself in this situation and asked Patrick how he should have responded. Patrick reads some words from his book Why Be Catholic. He explains that if you really believe that Jesus founded this Church, there should be no reason to leave. We need to be Catholic for Jesus, not for anyone else. 

Patrick comments on his thoughts about people saying “Thoughts and prayers” -  If a Catholic doesn’t receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, does the Holy Spirit not live in them? Why is it so important? Aaron - I can't seem to get ahold of my priest. He’s not responding to my calls. What should I do? Bob - Funny story about the miraculous medal – My grandson called it the “ridiculous” medal by mistake! Gail - Can the church not accept money from lottery winnings? As a Protestant, I was raised to think that the soul is asleep in Christ after death. As Catholics, we don't believe that the soul sleeps. Ed – Is there a book about faith and science that I can recommend to my son who says, “I believe in science”? Brian - How can I respond to someone who said he left the Church because of abuse crisis. Steve - Is the Catholic Church okay with me doing Yoga? Maria - There is sexual abuse everywhere. Why do people focus on the Catholic Church? Now the Church has special training to help priests report abuse. Raymo - How does the Church differentiate pride vs proud? Liz - What about Catholic Yoga while praying the Rosary?
