MARKED | Christian Pop Culture
Today's episode is a fun one! Before we started recording the episode with Catherine Parks, we were chatting about some of our favorite memories of growing up listening to CCM radio, watching videos from the church library, and wearing WWJD bracelets. We were having so much fun reminiscing, we thought we’d do a whole episode on it! Since it’s summer and this week we’re traveling to Lifeway Women Live, we thought it would be great to do a just-for-fun episode for you to listen to on your summer road trips, at the beach, or while dropping the kids off at camp. Quote Us:Pop culture lasts for a season but not forever. But it leaves an impact. - @MaryMargaretC #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookSo much of these things were building in truth in ways that I now can recognize and see. - @MaryMargaretC #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookI love that God uses creative people in such powerful ways to bring Him glory. - @MaryMargaretC #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookSome of it is so endearing, some of it is funny; there are a lot of Christian pop culture things that made a difference for me growing up and that helped me to learn the truth. - @MaryMargaretC #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookWe can create beauty and give God glory in that and we can use the gifts He has given us in a way that directly glorifies Him. - @edhyndman #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookThat's another part of Christian pop culture, the 'Hey, we're all trying to do this together and here's the way it's manifested in my life.' - @edhyndman #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookWe can still have fun as Christians and I think that's an important thing to remember. - @edhyndman #MARKEDpodcastShare on TwitterShare on FacebookLinks:Salt + Light T-Shirts Learn more at lifeway.com/joshua.
