Liverpool Classics: Liverpool 5-0 Nottingham Forest | Barnes, Beardsley | 1987-88 and 2019-20 comparison

On Wednesday, April 13, 1988, Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool team produced one of the greatest performances in the club's rich history as they swept aside Nottingham Forest 5-0 at Anfield. Led by the majestic Peter Beardsley and John Barnes, the football the Reds played that night was out of this world. Every goal they scored was perfection itself. For anyone who was following Liverpool at that time, it's a match that will never be forgotten. And for anyone who wasn't, hopefully this podcast, hosted by Paul Wheelock and featuring Dan Kay, will help. It also tells the story of the magnificent 1987-88 campaign, draws comparisons between King Kenny's champions and Jurgen Klopp's current crop, and ends with a bit of fun.
