Jurgen Klopp addressed Virgil van Dijk’s knee injury and whether Liverpool will look to the transfer market for a replacement at his press conference in Amsterdam this evening. The Reds take on Ajax in their Group B Champions League opener on Wednesday night, but much of the focus was away from the game, as Klopp was also asked about Everton’s challenges in the Merseyside derby, with Thiago Alcantara also being injured at Goodison Park. During an explosive press conference, the German also confirmed Fabinho is likely to play in defence, given Joel Matip, along with Thiago and Van Dijk, is sidelined.
