Analysing Anfield: Under-the-radar Euro 2020 stars Michael Edwards and Liverpool will know all about
It’s a special Euro 2020 edition of the Analysing Anfield podcast as Josh Williams and Dave Hughes pick out their players to look out for once the competition gets under way this week. Some are well known, some have been linked with Liverpool, recently and in the past, but most are currently under the radar, although the European Championship could give them the perfect opportunity to make their name more widely known. Josh and Dave select two players each from each of the six groups - choosing the same player only once - as they cast their eyes over the likes of Donyell Malen, Alexander Isak and Florian Neuhaus. There’s no doubt that Michael Edwards and Liverpool’s top-class recruitment team will know all about the players referenced - but this podcast could give you the chance to learn more about them, too. Liverpool.com podcast: Summer Premier League transfer draft | Raphinha, Pedro Neto, Bissouma
As the transfer window gets underway and big-name players like Ibrahima Konate are beginning to move clubs, the Liverpool.com NFL-inspired draft returns. Host Dan Morgan is joined by Joel Rabinowitz, debutant James Martin, and Blood Red's Matt Addison as they make their selections for who could make an impact for Liverpool from the bottom 12 Premier League clubs (including those who were promoted this season, and excluding those who were relegated). Each writer gets to pick five signings of their choice, and each pick must not exceed a current Transfermarkt value of over £50m. Picks must include at least one defender, one midfielder and one forward and each pick must be unique, so once a player is selected, no other writer can take them, with no more than two players from one club selected. Among the predictable picks are Raphinha, Pedro Neto and Yves Bissouma, while there are also some more left-field options who Michael Edwards could turn to as the draft unfolds.
