EP 62: What I Learned From My Grandpa About Legacy - My Candid Thoughts After His Passing

Have you ever thought about your legacy? For this CarrotCast, I’m going to use my Grandpa as an example of a pinnacle of success. He recently passed away and it was clearly evident that he was a person that left a legacy. There were people that traveled hours or who had not seen him in 60 years, gather to pay their respects to a person who had a positive influence on their lives. We often times put too much stock in our bank accounts and facebook accounts...on stats and ego. Instead, we need to start shifting that focus on positive influence and concentrate more on our legacy. Enjoy this episode of the CarrotCast and challenge yourself to do five positive things today. Go out and live a legacy. Invest in people, have fun, be kind, and enjoy life! ***Join us live, Thursdays at 11 AM Pacific for the Evergreen Marketing Live Q&A: https://www.facebook.com/groups/officialcarrotcommunity/***Need to grow as a leader? EP 61: Build A Legacy Based On Passion, Purpose, and Kindness

It’s easy to lose our passion, purpose, and kindness in the negativity of our 21st century lives. On this episode, Trevor and his brother Kyle interview Joe Anglim and Leon Logothetis about how to and why it is so important to bake passion, purpose, and kindness back into our DNA.   Joe Anglim is best known for his role on the hit show Survivor. Joe is also co-host of his show Mana which takes him around the world inspiring others. Joe’s also a jewelry maker, artist, craftsman, and has a knack for traveling the world on a budget where it seems he’s always on the go and trading art or construction for a roof over his head in some amazing places for amazing experiences.   Leon Logothetis is one of the most inspirational storytellers. He’s an adventurer, motivational speaker, philanthropist, and king of extreme budget travel. That’s not what he’s always been though. He used to be a broker in London before he gave it all up for a life on the road. Leon is living proof that anything is possible through kindness and human connection. He’s crossed 90 countries and every continent. He’s the host of the TV series Amazing Adventures Of A Nobody on National Geographic, the hit Netflix Documentary (that everyone needs to go watch right now) “The Kindness Diaries”, he’s an author and much more…   Tune in and become that influencer that can leave a legacy of passion, purpose, and kindness.   Enjoy! ***Join us live, Thursdays at 11 AM Pacific for the Evergreen Marketing Live Q&A: https://www.facebook.com/groups/officialcarrotcommunity/***Need to grow as a leader? EP 60: I Was Dead For 90 Minutes… How That Changed My Outlook On Life w/ Cherie Aimee

Cherie Aimee was medically dead for 90 minutes from cardiac arrest. Per a miracle, she came back and was in a coma for 3 months. Like many of us, before that moment she was in a spot in life where she knew she wasn’t living the true her. Not making the impact on the world that she knew she could make. That moment triggered in her to learn to love herself (she teaches how she did) and how a new mindset unleashed how she shows up in life and how you can too. EP 59: Are You Looking At Hiring As An Expense Or Investment? The Significance Of Having The Right Mindset When Building Your Team w/ Trevor Mauch

One of the biggest fears that people have about hiring or bringing people aboard is that they think it's going to make their bottom line take a hit. They think it's gonna make the money that goes into their pocket to put food on your table, take a hit, and lessen all of the hard work you've put in to growing your business. You've put in hard work to grow the income stream and the last thing we as entrepreneurs want, is for that to go down. For some reason, the first thing that we think of when we're looking at bringing people on a team, is "Oh my gosh, what's going to be taken away from me?" On this episode of the CarrotCast, I'm going to talk about hiring and why it should not be looked at from an expense mindset in the early stages. Hiring should be... how is this going to add to the business? How can we make this person pay for themselves and increase our revenue and you can do it in almost every position in your company starting out; it's not just sales people. It could be your assistant, it could be other things like that. So, on this episode, I want to walk you through the investment versus expense mindset when bringing people on your team and how to go after those first several people on your team to make sure that you're doing it right. Also, to make sure that you're not hiring late in the game and not capitalizing on big opportunities that you are currently missing because you are so busy and you're doing all the work. Strap in, listen to this episode of the CarrotCast. I'd really love your feedback. If you're in a spot right now in your business where you know you need to add someone on the team but you're not exactly sure how or you're kinda nervous about paying for them out of your own pocket, listen to this episode, let me know in the comments on iTunes or head over to Facebook and hit me up over there. Let me know the next move you're gonna make to build that team and to shift the mindset on bringing people aboard from an expense to an investment. ***Join us live, Thursdays at 11 AM Pacific for the Evergreen Marketing Live Q&A: https://www.facebook.com/groups/officialcarrotcommunity/***Need to grow as a leader? EP 58: How Simple Math Can Turn Your Paid Marketing Into A BIG Winner w/ Trevor Mauch

If you had to guess, what would you say is the #1 marketing tactic our (Carrot) most successful clients implement?  If there's one thing that people really need to wrap their minds around when they start to invest in marketing, this is definitely in contention for being one of the top one, two, three things that are among the most important with making your marketing work. Basically, if you've ever stopped your marketing efforts because you had a "gut feeling" that you're spending money without results but you didn't base that off of hard math, then you're most likely quitting too soon. the way that I'm going to show you in this CarrotCast, if you did not base that off of hard math, that decision, then you likely had a high, high, high chance of sabotaging your own results. I'm going to show you in this CarrotCast, if you did not base that off of hard math, then you likely had a high, high, high chance of sabotaging your own results. I'm going to walk you through how to remove emotion from your marketing equation, and how to add simple mathematics to make sure that you have the best possible chance of making your marketing work for you and crush it no matter what your business is!  Be sure to check out our other amazing CarrotCast episodes at www.carrotcast.com ***Join us live, Thursdays at 11 AM Pacific for the Evergreen Marketing Live Q&A: https://www.facebook.com/groups/officialcarrotcommunity/***Need to grow as a leader? EP 57: How to Achieve Financial Freedom and Build True Wealth w/ Jack Bosch

We don't do a whole lot of Carrot Cast episodes on wealth, per se. Most of the people we have on here, or the topics that we talk about, of course, are related to helping you build wealth. But the thing is, most of us entrepreneurs go out building that business...building that first business. Creating those income streams. For some reason, we don't implement the actual things that would help us to become financially free and actually truly wealthy. It's not wealthy for being wealthy's sake. I think it's really that first thing that I mentioned before, with being free...being financially free, so you can go out there and do what you want to do. For me, my definition of financially free is to never, ever have to worry about money. Where money isn't even a factor in any of the decisions that we're making. That, to me, is financially free. Also, it's where I'm earning the income doing the things that I love to do. Not grinding away. Okay. You could totally have no worry about money ever, but you could have no life because you didn't structure the way that you're generating your income, in a way to where your money truly serves you, rather than you being a slave to it. On this episode of the Carrot Cast, I've got a special guest with me. A longtime friend of mine, Jack Bosch, who is an investor. He's flipped thousands of pieces of land. He's an apartment building buyer and owner now. We're going to talk about his story and we're going talk about what he calls the wealth wheel. The reason I brought him on isn't because of the land investing, although we will talk about that a little bit. It's not because of the apartment investing, which we're gonna talk about a little bit. It's not really necessarily his story from coming to Germany as an immigrant, broke and turned into an amazing seven and eight figure a year entrepreneur. It's the mindset that goes into building true wealth and how to really use real estate, whether you're a wholesaler, a flipper, an apartment building investor, but especially if you're a wholesaler or a flipper listening to this. Eight out of ten wholesalers and flippers that I talk to do not set up their businesses to build true wealth. They set up their businesses, honestly, to be high paying jobs. It ends up tying you down. It ends up doing the opposite of why you started that business in the first place. This episode we're gonna walk through the wealth wheel. Walk through some concepts out of Jack's book that he wrote. Also, in this episode, we're gonna tell you how you can get a copy of his book for free because I really believe in the message that it puts out there on how you can really build true wealth and really gain real freedom in your business and from your business, rather than earning a high paid job for yourself. Welcome on in Jack Bosch to this episode. While you're doing this, take notes and identify where on the wealth wheel you are. Because odds are, you're only probably doing one or two of the things on the wealth wheel and you're going to perpetually be on this hamster wheel, where you've always got to work and always got to bust your butt in order to make the income, instead of the income working for you. Let's dive in. ***Join us live, Thursdays at 11 AM Pacific for the Evergreen Marketing Live Q&A: https://www.facebook.com/groups/officialcarrotcommunity/***Need to grow as a leader? EP 56: [Case Study] From Junior High School Teacher to $80k/Month Investor in a Competitive Market. How Brian Rockwell Uses Patience and Planning for His Success

I always get excited when I get to do these types of CarrotCasts when I bring on a client of ours who has a great, great story. And the client that I'm bringing on today is Brian Rockwell. This CarrotCast is pretty compelling and hopefully, it's going to speak to everyone about patience and swift and focused execution when you decide to make things happen. He didn't use the excuses of, "There's way too much competition." He didn't use the excuses of, "I already see Carrot sites everywhere." He didn't use any excuses of "I've never done a deal." He went out there, executed according to what we laid out, our plan for him. He executed it. He carved out time to study. He carved out time to implement, he carved out a budget, and he did $80,000 in wholesale fees in March. He did another $50 to $60,000 in April, and he's already on track to do amazingly well again at the time we recorded this in June.  You're also going to be able to learn how he's executed like mad as a newer investor, not having all the advantages that you do with experience and credibility and how he went after and executed with one marketing plan, on one way of getting clients now with building up momentum over the long term with another way of getting clients, and how he's turning those into profits. He eliminated emotion from his decision by setting a solid marketing budget that is 100% based off of data and math. Magically that turned into amazing results for him. You're going to love his story, how he went from junior high teacher and baseball coach, and a 12-year journey on starting being a real estate investor from thinking about it to taking the action on it. He took action, and within three months he's doing $80,000 a month in revenue, and you're going to hear how he did it. EP 53: 3 Days At The Top REI Mastermind in The Country: A Key Take Away

Real estate is one of the least trusted industries-- why is that? Now ask yourself... "How many of your last deals would you feel like following up with and taking to dinner or grabbing a drink, those clients?" If you're like most wholesalers and flippers, your business is about the numbers. Investors treat it as a one-and-done too often. Most don't believe they can be tight with the client after the deal has closed. I'm returning from one of, if not, the Nation's top Mastermind events for real estate wholesalers and flippers called Collective Genius. These guys are big time. 500-600 flips per year and some with over 4000 multi-family units. What's one of the main differences between the one-and-done investor and one that flips 500 properties per year? The willingness to build and continue a relationship- after the transaction. What can you do to change the churn and burn mindset of your clients? Find out. On this episode of the CarrotCast, Trevor dives into what he learned at the Collective Genius Mastermind, showing clients that you care and that they're not just another comma. Have gratitude for everything and build humanity back into business!
